The residents need chain saws to tackle the many fallen coconut trees in the way and on top of their broken homes. Chain saw operators charge 800.00 1,000.00 pesos per tree. If Fondacio could buy the saws for them, they will then have the means and freedom to put the many trees to good use including as resource material to reconstruct their homes.

Snippets of Testimonies In the face of hardships

We share with you some of the inspiring Testimonies from our volunteers without whom Fondacio would have been helpless in translating your caring donations into meaningful aid: Before arriving in San Roque, I thought this experience would be hard psychologically. I just see smiling and laughing people. We need hope, we need strength. They give both. And living without electricity is such a good experience for me. I am very happy to be part of this project and I am excited about what we can do in the future. - Maitii finding similar others who are just as tired and just as happy. We can only be grateful to gather in prayer over every meal and to find rest in sleep when so many still cannot sleep from trauma. Suddenly, my life was so small. There was so much greater things beyond my personal concerns, beyond my family. - Sienna
