Community Schools
The Council is responsible for admissions to the four community schools listed
at the top of page 17. Decisions on the admissions to these schools are taken
by Croydon local authority and not by the schools. A brief description of the
admissions criteria for all community schools is set out below:
Priority in the allocation of places is given in the following order:
• looked-after children (i.e, children in public care at the date of application)
• siblings
• medical cases

eographical - those pupils living nearest to the school. (See page 18-19 for the
full Community Schools admission criteria).
Note: The first 18 places at Westwood Language College for Girls (ie 10% of the
intake) will be allocated on the basis of performance in a test which demonstrates

Appeals
