WHY COACHING SKILLS? The global economy has changed and presents today’s leaders with more opportunities to coach for performance and results. Leaders who possess coaching skills directly impact current and future employee performance in numerous ways. Leaders who acquire active coaching skills have the ability to enhance growth and performance, promote individual responsibility, and encourage accountability. CMOE’s Coaching Skills Workshop is designed to help participants develop the necessary skills to effectively coach others. The workshop is based on The Coaching Model a proven process that is backed by extensive and ongoing research. The Model is a flexible and dynamic communication road map that leaders use to interact more effectively in a coaching situation. The workshop also focuses on developing the following skills for the participants: • Promoting a highly engaged work environment, a culture of trust, enhanced performance, and improved productivity • Sharing feedback on their performance and development • Coaching to achieve full potential of team members and drive bottom-line results • Bringing resistance to change to the surface and work through obstacles (hidden or not) that impede change • Developing and enhancing execution skills to drive strategic priorities • Addressing performance problems through greater individual and team accountability • Develop future leadership talent by increasing innovation, commitment, and ownership • Building respect and trust among team members.
