Notice For Reviewers

T ypescripts should be double spaced. It would also greatly assist the Reviews Editor if you could make your typescript, and its heading, conform to the following style: T he Right to Private Property. By JEREMY WALDRON. (Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1988. Pp. viii + 470. Price 40.00.) T owards the beginning of Jeremy Waldron's long and impressive book, he claims that private property has found its way again to the forefront of attention in jurisprudence and political philosophy (p. 12). I do not think this is true. Issues concerning private property are still swallowed up in discussions of wider import - of equality and justice, of rights and utilitarianism. T hings may become otherwise and, if they do, the attention that scholars direct towards Waldron's book may turn out to be an important cause of the shift. University of Glasgow DUDLEY KNOWLES Reviewers should avoid the following: 1) Footnotes. 2) Bibliographies. 3) References to their own work. Please restrict the length of your review to 1000 words unless otherwise agreed. Please try to observe the suggested deadline. If, in the event, you cannot do this it would greatly help if you would notify the Reviews Editor. Preferably, completed reviews should be submitted as email attachments sent to the Reviews Editor, T imothy Chappell, at Chappell@open.ac.uk. Please also include the word count.
