TO I NSTALL THE M OUSET RAP

1 Disconnect the power to the PC computer. You can install the MouseTrap while the Apex switch is running. 2 Connect the 5-pin DIN end of the keyboard cable to its respective connector on the computer and the 6-pin mini DIN end to the MouseTrap.
MOUSE KEYBOARD

Note If the keyboard connector on your PC computer is PS/2 instead of 5-pin DIN, you can substitute a standard PS/2 male-male 1 ft cable. The PS/2 cable fits into the 6-pin mini DIN connector on the MouseTrap. CAUTION It is essential that the keyboard signal run through the MouseTrap. Do not connect the keyboard directly from the PC computer to the Apex switch because this will cause the MouseTrap to malfunction.

You need to provide 2 1 PS/2 interconnecting cables, male-male* HD15 interconnecting cable, male-male* *check your switch user guide for maximum cable length

3 Connect the female end of the DB9 mouse cable to its respective connector on the computer, and connect the male end to the mouse serial connector on the MouseTrap. 4 Connect the interconnecting PS/2 mouse cables to the PS/2 side of the MouseTrap.

HD15 video

5 Connect the interconnecting HD15 cable to the video connector on the PC computer. Connect all 3 interconnecting cables to the same port label on the Apex switch. 6 Reconnect the power to the PC computer and turn on the computer. Once the boot up process is complete, the power and status lights (green) will be on. 7 Set up OSCAR on the Apex switch to reflect the addition of the new computer.
