As in the traditional letter, the writer outlines her skills and shows that she has some understanding of the organization. A report on the Activities of the E & I Club

Environmental issues are moving to the top of the agenda all over the world. As an institute, our school has dedicated itself to creating an informed citizenry in India, whereby environmental concerns have become a part of the daily decision-making process. Students of our school have been enthusiastic participants in our E & I Club activities. There is a need to expose our students to environmental concerns and make them responsive to serious issues that confront them. As a part of the all round development we have planned and carried various activities for class IX and X students: Students prepare audio visual presentation on various critical issues relating to the environment. Students had put up nature-based game stalls in the Tiger Festival organised by the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH). Students have been involved in the promotion of eco-friendly products like jute bags and recycled paper. Students attended an Air Quality Monitoring demonstration by TERI. A play was enacted by the students of class IX and X on the deteriorating conditions of our forest and the decimating tree cover. The message of 3Rs principle, proper waste disposal, segregation of waste, air pollution and use of alternative sources of energy was disseminated through debates and discussions. Our students participated in the Inter-School Quiz Competition and have qualified for the finals. Inter-section story writing and poster making competitions were organised during the Diwali week on the theme of Say NO to Crackers.

The above mentioned activities and many more have been undertaken by the E & I Club of our school, in order to sensitize the students deteriorating condition of our environment, which is a major cause of concern for the entire humanity. Presently our efforts are being directed towards the formation of a Green Brigade which would endeavor to make The Earth a better place to live.
