THEPROJECTNUMBER: UK/13/LLPLDV/TOI615 This project has been funded with support from the European Commission. This publication [communication] reflects the views only of the author, and the Commission cannot be held responsible for any use, which may be made of the information contained therein

The aim of the Info for Migrants project is to meet the European objective of effective integration by improving and transferring the innovative Careers Europe migrant online information tool to vocational education providers and guidance centres across Europe. At present, the online tool is available to libraries, colleges, universities and careers guidance centres in the UK, and offers practical information about British culture and work in 23 different languages.

During the 2 year project the partners from Austria, Bulgaria, Sweden, Finland, Spain and the UK will adapt and develop the online tool, for use in their own national contexts by both guidance practitioners and migrants. The online information tool will be attractive and intuitive to use, containing information about the host country but also details about migrant countries of origin in order that the guidance professional will better understand their clients background and culture.

The project aims to 1) adapt and transfer the existing UK migrant information tool to Spain, Austria, Bulgaria, Finland and Sweden 2) update the content of the UK tool in consultation with national experts and with support from the partners (three of which are ranked in the top 10 Migrant Integration Policy Index) 3) update the technical aspect of the online tool - using the expertise of the Finnish partner who are specialists in educational website building.

This tool will expand the knowledge of careers guidance workers and teachers working in VET institutions, careers centres and other organisations across the countries in the partnership and to further countries following completion of the project.
