Non-profit K-12 school Founded in 1994 by Jorge Chojolan, a poor indigenous Mayan Serves over 300 students from indigenous, nonindigenous, poor, working and middle class backgrounds Founded based on a progressive philosophy: encourage all students and teachers to think of themselves as learners, teachers, and ultimately world transformers Focus on inclusivity, gender equality, human rights, ecology and independence
