Youre Peter. First underline Paulas questions and answer all of them.
Maybe you can e-mail this assignment to your teacher.

Hi Peter
Let me tell you about my new home.
It has a lovely garden. And you know how important that is to me.
The house has three bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a hall and an attic. It doesnt have a cellar.
The bathroom has a shower.
The house doesnt have a garage, but I dont have a car anyway. So, thats not really a problem. Its
not far from school. I can even walk.
Do you have time to come and help me move my furniture?
Does your car have a tow bar? We dont have all the time in the world, so please
answer me soon.
Love
Paula

. down off the desk and ran to my wardrobe. It was a new one,
fortunately, so it was quite easy to open it. There inside were all my clothes,
although how I was ever going to get them on I didnt know. I ..

with my mouth and them on the carpet my T-shirts, my

knickers, my tights, my jeans and skirts and tops. Then, for the first time in weeks, I got
dressed.

I did the T-shirt first, holding the sides with my paws and pushing my head in. That was
hard enough. The knickers were even harder: I had to spread them out on the floor, stand
in the leg holes and then pull them up with my teeth. It took me ages, but I did it. Then I
tried to do the same with my tights, but that was just so hard. I had to make little jumps to
get my feet off them and then pull with my teeth. It was impossible! I stopped trying. I
found my nice little stripy T-shirt, the one with the yellow and blue stripes. It used to be
skintight, but now, of course, it was all baggy, and I thought, at least Im losing weight!
And I went, huf, huf, huf. Laughing made me feel loads better. Next I put on a short black
skirt. I . back up the table and had a look at myself. I nearly cried. I
just ridiculous.

I tried some make-up. Holding the lipstick down between my paws, I rubbed my black dog
lips around the red stick, but it was such a hopeless mess, I . it all off and
tried again. I got better, but after several goes, I decided that make-up with a hairy face
and no fingers is not on.
And then well! It was now or never. Time to introduce myself to my family.

Heres a tourists story about his experiences with food in Britain.

Find the five mistakes and correct them. Check the Did You Know? in your textbook p. 112/113.
The first night I ate in a fish and chips shop. They put vinegar (azijn) on my chips and then wrapped them in a
newspaper. The next day I first had breakfast and I got myself some sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms and
some strawberry jelly (gelei). Then I went to a pub where I had a jacket potato. I ate it with its skin (vel) still on.
They also served fresh fruit, yogurt and ice cream as a pudding. The next morning I ate scones. They served it
with white beans with tomato sauce. It was delicious. Then at 11 oclock I had a cup of tea. I drank a white
coffee.
The last evening I had bangers and mash for tea and I got a pint of beer with a nice big head (schuimkraag).
And as a pudding I had some kidney (nier) pie served with hot custard.
