Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council Jason Stilwell, City Administrator Janet Bombard, Library Director Consideration of a Resolution authorizing City co-sponsorship with the Library Board of Trustees and the Carmel Public Library Foundation of the Annual Sterling Circle event.

Recommendation(s): Adopt the resolution. Executive Summary: City Policy C89-47 requires City Support groups to obtain City Council

co-sponsorship of events at which alcohol is served. The Library Board of Trustees and the Carmel Public Library Foundation are requesting City co-sponsorship of the Annual Sterling Circle event on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at the Harrison Memorial Library Park Branch . The Board of Trustees and the Carmel Public Library Foundation are also requesting that the City Council authorize the City Administrator to officially notify the City's insurance carrier of the co-sponsorship .
Analysis/Discussion: The Sterling Circle event is held annually to thank Carmel Public Library

Foundation Planned Giving Program donors. The Carmel Public Library Foundation will secure a Daily License Permit from the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control for the event. The Harrison Memorial Library Board of Trustees approved the Carmel Public Library Foundation's request to hold the event in the Park Branch Library at its August 28, 2013 regular meeting.

None. All costs are underwritten by the Carmel Public Library Foundation.
