Hey guys. Welcome to Light House Records. Ive been thinking about doing this for a while. Something that we can pick up and read once a month. Something fun the whole youth can get together and do. Everyone can have a part to do something they love. And when were done, we can show not only the world but also ourselves that theirs more to being a Youth Christian. We can have fun. We can care about fashion. We know exactly what the latest coolest car on the market is right now or what video game everyone should be playing. We can still rock out with the best of them to music that gets us pumping but glorifies God at the same time. Im not exactly sure how successful this will be but Im hoping everyone has a story their dying to tell. It doesnt mater how small; to God its important. So heres to the first issue of Light House Records. Ready, Set Go

 When I think about what Im going to tell my son when he asks that question, When did you know you waned me? I get very tongue tied, and choked up. I really havent decided on what I will say, because Im not sure I could tell them the truth about how he came to be. The truth is, it was the biggest mistake of my life. The truth is that I slept with someone I hadnt known but a day, didnt love, and wasnt married too. Ive had a big problem being alone and I didnt know how to do it. I didnt know I was pregnant for 3 weeks, and in that time I was drinking, and doing things I shouldnt, not knowing there was a baby forming inside me. The sad part is, is that I preached to this boy

about how important Jesus was to me and how much I was trying to do better. It was nothing but hypocrisy. I didnt want him. I was terrified. I didnt think I would ever be able to go to church again with what had happened, or if I could ever go home. The only person I had to turn to was a boy I had hurt a lot. A boy I loved very deeply. A boy I took advantage of. Despite everything that has happened in our past he and his family some-what, took me in. Dont get me wrong, I have always wanted a child, it is all I have ever talked about, but not this way. I was going to give him up so that the boy I loved would take me back. He did take me back. Caden, and I. He became a man in my eyes that day. It all became so clear.

No one will ever be more of a man then him. It takes a great deal of strength to do what he has done for me. He is going to be a father of a baby thats not his, and he loves him so much already. By Kristina Akin Its been about two years now, that i havent had a job and now its just aggravating, especially this time of year. Its Christmas time and the only way my friends and family are going to get presents is if i find some work. Whats worst is a friend of mine is having a baby and I dont have the cash to get her a present, but Im going to try to find some way to get her something. One of the hardest things about being broke is when my friends call me up and ask if I want to do something. I have to tell them no because I dont want them to always being paying for me.
Theres also the matters of bills; everyone has them. Phone, cable, credit cards, electric and house payments, the list goes on. Not everyone has all of those bills especially if youre living at home but they at least have to pay 3 out of 5 of them. I of course have alot of the above mentioned bills and on top of that sometimes my family needs a little help buying groceries and help their own paying bills. And its really boring without a job. I have nothing to do or anyone to hang out with a lot of the time. I hate when theres nothing on television and I dont have a video game or friend to play with. And of course calling up friends is out of the question because theyre all working since they actually have jobs. So its safe to say not having a job is difficult. If youre someone whos without a job, which I include myself, then I wish you luck and youre in my prayers

Reason For The Season

Christmas is that time of year when family you havent seen in ages flies in from all over the country to visit. Its the month where that itchy sweater covered in bows that your great-great-great aunt Mel sent you is some how brought back to life. Its the most wonderful time of the year because for a moment even people who hate each other all year long forego their animosity to celebrate. But, is family, sweaters and fake peace the reason for the season. ing for the toys theyve always wanted. Dont get me wrong; I love getting presents and I love giving them even more. Every November I write down all my friends and family and plan out when Im going to get them. Its so much fun for me because I love that look in a persons eye when you get them something you know theyll love forever. But despite all that, its still not the reason we should be celebrating.

But find me, without checking any Christian stations, a movie about a Jesus. I dare you to search threw all 1000 of your Dish, Comcast and U-verse stations for the real reason for this holiday season. You can try, but you wont find him on any of the family stations. Why, because weve forgotten, were too busy or we dont care.

For one moment, turn on your TV and check ABC, Nickel All over the world people odeon and Disney Channel. Im are running around, searching, sure you can tell me how horrifor the perfect Christmas gift. ble a year without Santa Clause Children, still young enough would be. At Harbor of Hope, we believe that there is unlimited hope in Jesus Christ, and it is our job to share the hope found in our savior with everyone that we meet. We desire to be a safe place for people who have been hurt in any way. We are not the traditional church.We are a community of believers who have but one goal to share the love, hope, and compassion that Jesus has for the hurting people of this generation. This generation is in need of a savior a hero and he is Jesus Christ, the center of everything that we do.
