have relations with each other, Turkey feels that the actions that the actions the Israelis have taken toward the Palestinians is unacceptable and need to allow reinstating either the 1947 or 1967 borders to regain peace and stability. Relations between Turkey and Israel are very complicated; one minute their relations with each other are running smoothly without conflict, the next they are not speaking to each other and all ties seem to be lost. Relations between Turkey and Israel consist mainly of military and diplomatic reasons, along with trade and economic relations. Yet Turkey considers what the Israelis are doing to the Palestinians as state-sponsored terrorism and crimes of humanity which is clearly unacceptable. As Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoan states to the United Nations, Acts of deadly Israeli of air bombardments of Gaza and calling calling Israel a terrorist state that massacres innocent children. (Israel-Turkey Relations). Israel continually invades the Gaza Strip and West Bank to claim more land from the Palestinians. On top of this, Israel has been attacking Turkey too. In May of 2010 a Turkish ship, MV Mavi Marmara, carrying humanitarian aid and construction supplies to the Gaza Strip for Palestinian refugees was raided by Shayetet 13, killing nine activists and injuring several dozen. along with many other domains (Shayetet 13). Even though Turkey and Israel do have relations, Turkey is not pleased with Israels actions towards Palestine and does not back up their decisions. If the two-state solution were to be put back into place then the majority of these problems would be eliminated. Palestinians are currently living inside the Gaza Strip and West Bank as refugees because Israelis continue to make settlements inside their land, inside the land that was supposed to be designated for Palestinians to live in. A two-state solution would mean that Israel would be split up into two states: Israel and Palestine. Depending on the population of Palestinians wishing to return back to Palestine dictates whether the 1947 borders or the 1967 borders would be put into use. Turkeys Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek stated, Jerusalem will be the capital of Palestine. Border prior to 1967 should be reconsidered and the independence of Palestine should be recognized by everyone. (Turkey Urges for Solution) And although Turkey and Israel have relations, Turkey makes it clear that Palestinians should be allowed to return to where they once lived because it would mean peace. Cicek also stated, Turkey attributes great importance to a solution for this dispute and supports all efforts with this claim. It is a common responsibility to assist the righteous case of Palestinians. (Turkey Urges for Solution) The solutions that Turkey wants is to reform the two state solution borders pushing all of the Israelis out of Palestinian land not allowing them to resettle on Palestinian land.
