Setting: the earth. Role of genders in the movie: Actually in this film genders are not important because robot cannot be regarded as boys or girls. But in a way we can regard WALL-E as man and EVE as woman. How the movie relates to the culture at the time: In 2008, it is pretty close to our life nowadays and the environment is not good as before. People produce more and more garbage and our earth is destroyed by unreasonable human activities. Many disasters alter us that we should protect our earth right now and this movie image the future -- in 2805, the earth is covered in garbage and human cant live in the earth. In this period, many environmental protectors appear and this movie affects this Environmentalism.

Role of genders in the movie:

Tianas father, James, the viewer is never told what exactly it is he does. However, what is apparent is his love for cooking. Tianas mother, on the other hand, is never shown doing any kind of domestic work. That is the idea that men work and women do domestic labor . Here, the gender roles are completely reversed.

How the movie relates to the culture at the time:

People arguing about the main characters race and think Disney has racial prejudice. My personal viewpoint is: As the first African-Americans Princess, Tiana shows racial Equality. And we should believe That in our contemporary society, the American dream will come true.
