THE GREAT HEALTH RACE

GET READY.
The Great Health Race aims to educate and empower the middle and high school students of New Orleans to pursue health-conscious lifestyles. Participants will learn new and fun ways to improve their diets and increase physical activity. In turn, racers will become leaders and advocates for health and vitality in their communities, perpetuating change across all generations, present and future.

GET SET.
The Great Health Race is a digital toolkit for wellness. Through the interactive web platform and activity-measuring wristbands, students can play games, track progress, interact with each other and compete to win prizes. The second component of the Great Health Race is the yearly building of memorial Victory Gardens. By gaining hands-on experience in the gardens, participants will become knowledgeable about how food is grown and the importance of proper nutritional practices.

GO!
