Objectives:

Learn to manage Photoshop layers. Learn to blend images together smoothly, using masks. Use filters. Apply appropriate typography.

Process:

I first searched the internet for images that I could use and that would go well in my project. I then saved them into a file and brought them into photoshop. I mainly used the masking tool and the effects tool for my text. I had to zoom in closer to make sure that my images were blended nicely to give it a clean look.

Create a variety of logos to fit a company or personal image. Use the basic tools of Illustrator.

Process:

I first made up a company selling something that I love Makeup:) I then played around with the initials of the company and created three logos. I took colors from pictures of actual makeup like the red from red lipstick. I then edited them until I thought they look just right.

Objectives:

Create a new logo to fit a company or personal image. Design consistent layouts for a business card and letterhead. Use the basic tools of Illustrator & InDesign.

Process:

I used Adobe Indesign to create this project. This has been my favorite project we have done, I really enjoyed this project. I used the text tool and the gradient tool to create a water mark on my stationary. I used the pen tool to create my logo and design the heart in my project. I also used Adobe Illustrator. I needed to use the scissor tool so I brought my project into Illustrator and used that for my business card. My water mark on the back of my business card needed cut with the scissor tool in Illustrator.

Objectives:

Size and optimize an original logo as a .png for a web page. Write content to describe the process of creating your logo and how it appeals to a target audience. Design a web page using HTML to display a logo and content. Acquire a working knowledge of HTML and basic understanding of CSS. Identify hex colors for web design. Compress multiple files in a zipped folder to attach as one file.

Process:

I used adobe indesign to create this brochure. I also used photoshop to create my logo. I learned a lot more about the gradient tool when creating my logo. I wanted it to sot of look like a world. I have to learn how to mix the blue and green together.

Objectives:

Apply the design principles and use appropriate typography. Incorporate basic InDesign skills to improve basic flier layout. Create a project folder with image, logo and InDesign document to keep links intact.

Process:

To create this flier I used in-design. I first had to learn how to use the program. I then created a sketch with a pen and paper. From the sketch I decided on 1 of 4 of my flier layouts. I created my design on in-design. After I was happy with the design I had my peers review the flier. I took notes on their feedback and the result was my final draft.

Davids Bridal is collecting old wedding dresses! With the old dresses we collect they will be taking them apart and sewing new ones. They will then be put in a discount collection for brides in need of a beautiful dress who cannot afford to buy a new one.

Process:

I first scanned an image from Utah Bridal magazine. I designed the poster in Word. It was difficult learning how to work Word after just barely getting the hang of InDesign. InDesign is definitely easier.

I first went to the temple and took pictures using a nicer camera that I had never used and had to learn how to work. When I finally got a result I was happy with I edited it in Photoshop, I was not familiar with this program and had to learn how to use it. I designed my poster in Photoshop. I learned how to use shapes and match colors to my photo. I also made sure I had a color scheme and knew what type it was.

Process:
I knew I needed to either make a new project or continue working on my other projects for at least two hours. I chose to make a new project. I love Paris. I knew I wanted to make a project about Paris because I hadnt involved it with any other of my projects. I used Adobe InDesign and used the opacity meter to leave a sort of water mark with French words on my poster. This is meant to be a poster for your wall. I love the image I found I think it is really pretty. I love the quote I used by Audrey Hepburn also. I thought the quote was perfect for the poster.
