REGARDING THE VERSIONS OF NYMPHOMANIAC

Lars von Triers NYMPHOMANIAC is being distributed in two parts (Volume I and II) and in two versions: a 4 hour international version, and a 5.5 hour directors cut. The version of the film being released in the US in March, 2014 is the international version. The international version is the only version of the film that has been released commercially anywhere in the world. There is no American version of the filmthe film being released in the US has not been altered or censored from the international version. Volume I of von Triers directors cut premiered at the 2014 Berlinale. This is the only place that it has been shown publicly to date. Volume II of the director's cut will premiere later this yearits premiere date and venue have not yet been announced. The 5.5 hour directors cut of NYMPHOMANIAC will be released by Magnolia in the US at some point in the future, when both parts have been made available for distribution by the films producers.
