SMCS - 7490 The machine monitoring system continuously monitors all machine systems. The following communication links are used.

Cat Data Link

The Cat data link is a two wire system. The Cat data link allows two-way communication to the machine ECMs. This data link also supports communication between the machine ECM, the engine ECM and Cat Electronic Technician (ET).

CAN-A Data Link

The CAN-A data link is a three-wire system that allows communication between the Machine ECM and the Compact Instrument Cluster (CIC).
