This is the Day of New Beginnings By this point in time it is no secret that this pastor is head over heels in love! In a little less than two months (by the time you read this) my life will be changing forever. It will be a new beginning for both me, and my fianc Allan. As the day is quickly approaching, I feel excitement, tremendous joy, and even giddiness at the prospect of what this new life will be. Its difficult for us to even comprehend what the disciples must have felt as they witnessed Jesus crucifixion. Then their life was once again forever altered when Jesus reappears. It is a new beginning, a new way of life for them. Each of us experiences a new beginning every day. We all have times of new beginnings, and in a sense each day is a new beginning. Each day we choose whether we grow in Christ, or to remain dormant. As we participate in the Healthy Church Initiative it is a new beginning for us as a church. It is a way for us to refocus ourselves in order to reach out in Christian love to spread the news of Jesus Christ, and to grow in our own faith. As we celebrate Easter this year, let it be a new beginning for us to recommit ourselves to following Jesus. Just as Im head over heels in love with Allan, I am even more head over heels in love with Jesus. How about you? ~Pastor Cory

Sanctuary Technology
Have you come to worship and been frustrated because the projectors flicker on and off, or the lines run through the screen? Have you been frustrated because it seems hard to hear? Well, we have been looking into ways to correct some of these issues, and have found a way forward. We have found out that although our speakers are top quality, they need to be tuned, which was never done when they were installed. Installation of a different sound board that is equipped for everything that we have, will enable us to be able to direct input microphones instead of going through another piece of equipment. What is being proposed visually is moving to two 70 inch televisions in the front to be mounted next to the banner mounts, and to install a 70 inch in the back, and to place the 60 inch that is currently in the back in the fellowship hall. One of the things that we have learned is that our projectors were at the time purchased one of the best that was out there, are no longer sold for commercial use. To replace the light bulb in them is around $500 a piece, and that although you can wait to replace a light bulb until it completely burns out what happens is over time the contrast between colors and the sharpness diminishes (which can be currently seen by the way project now versus eight years ago) making it difficult to read, and view pictures and videos. This whole project could be done for a little over $29,000. This is something that we have seen the need, and been discussing for the last couple of years. We have been working with Mid States Audio out of Sioux Falls, SD that has installed audio visual equipment in thousands of churches, schools, colleges, and other facilities. We realize that this is quite a bit of money that we are talking about, but we feel that this is an investment that will last and an upgrade that everyone will benefit from. However, we would like feedback from you on this matter before our meeting on April 27th. So, please do not hesitate to contact anyone who is on the Administrative Council: Peter Eldridge-Chairperson, Corey Gillespie-Vice Chairperson, Beth Wittrock-Clerk/Secretary, Haley Bottjen, Benny Ebel, Kim Hintz, Connie Huffman, Mike Jones, Bill Kersting, Matt Rohwer, Jane McDowell, Shannon Miller, and Pastor Cory.

If you are aware of someone in need of a pastoral call, please inform Pastor Cory at the office, 957 -4960 or her cell 404-788-4997. She would rather hear from multiple sources than from no one at all. In these times of privacy rights, hospitals and nursing homes may not divulge information relating to a resident or patient, so it is very important that members and/or their families let the Pastor know of all needs for pastoral care.

Quarters!
Bring your quarters with you to church to put in the quarter bank. The children would like to raise enough money to buy an animal. Every quarter helps us reach our goal! Adopt a Child Vacation Bible School (VBS) this year will be held at the American Reformed Church July 14-17. In an effort to raise our portion of the funds needed we are sponsoring Adopt a Child. Each child is $30, and we are needing to raise enough funds to cover 27 children. This is $810. Any support would be greatly appreciated.
UCW will meet April 9th at 2 p.m. Hostesses ar e Fer n Rosenboom, Myrna Heimensen & Delores Ginger. Devotions by Jean Davis and Program by LaVonne Hanson. Archer will be our guests. Evening Circle will meet April 22nd at 7:00 p.m. Hostess is Pastor Cor y, Pr ogr am by Mar ian Ginger and Devotions by LaNan Eldridge.

Office Needs
The trustees last year had budgeted for the purchase of one new computer for the office for 2014, which has been done, and has been a needed addition for a long time. However, we find that we are in need to make a second computer purchase, and are asking for help from you. This second computer is for use by our financial people (receiving and paying treasurers). The current one being used periodically kicks you out of the program you are trying to use, and may even do this several times within a 30 minute time period. Any assistance you can give towards the purchase of this computer would be greatly appreciated by all of our volunteers responsible for receiving and paying funds. We are needing about $1,000.
