This device is specifically designed to wor- with the next generation of &ou!le &ata *ate 4 '&&*4( %&*.M modules used in high-speed P#s and laptops, while also supporting older &&*"/0 platforms. This new device is designed for the price-competitive consumer products mar-et and is capa!le of operation across a !road voltage range '1.23 to 0.43(. This device is 5)&)# 5#4".4 '))1664-v( %erial Presence &etect '%P&( compliant and is designed to !e compati!le with &&*4 %&*.M modules. The 04..64 includes reversi!le software write protection for each of four independent 1"7 x 7-!it !loc-s and supports a new %M8us compati!le !us time out. The device features a page write capa!ility of up to 14 !ytes of data and 0 address pins allow up to eight devices on the same !us. The 04..64 is !ac-ward-compati!le with existing &&*" and &&*0 %P& ))P*+Ms. To ensure !ac-ward compati!ility, the memory array of the 04..64 is divided into two separate "94-!yte !an-s to overlay with the architecture of older %P& ))P*+M devices.
