Lindsay Hardin Freeman writes For too long, biblical women have been trapped in dry and dusty literary caskets. They seem unreachable, distant, vastly different from 21st century women. My goal is to lift up women of the Bible so that we might know them and ourselves better. Their stories and dilemmas are not so different from our own. Its all there: faith, love, rape, violence, war, children, politics, marriage, grief and more. The twelve women of The Scarlet Cord...risked everything, often on a moments notice. They loved. They had faith. And through their actions, they changed the world, almost always for the good. Put simply, they are worth knowing.
