Teacher Appreciation Week is Next Week!!

We have awesome Teacher Leaders here at Hardy Brown College Prep, and we dont want to take for granted everything they do to help our scholars achieve. We will have our Teacher Appreciation Week next weekMay 5-May 9. This is the parents time to show their appreciation for our Teacher Leaders. If you are interested in volunteering to help during this week, please see Ms. Gonzalez. Everyday have your child bring or do something for his/her teacher to say Thanks! See below: Monday, May 5: Give your teacher a high-five Tuesday, May 6: Bring your teacher a flower Wednesday, May 7: Make your teacher a card Thursday, May 8: Bring your teacher a small school supply! (glue stick, pencil, eraser, dry-erase markers etc.) Friday, May 9: Bring your teacher a sweet treat! (chocolate, coffee, fruit etc.)

Testing begins at H.B.C.P! This week H.B.C.P has begun the Smarter Balanced Practice Field Test in grades 3-6. Testing will continue throughout the next three weeks. It is important that all our scholars are here on time, and ready to test. Send your child to school with words of encouragement. Even though we wont receive any test results for this years practice field test, it is still important our scholars try their best to succeed and excel.

Keep spreading the word H.B.C.P! If you know someone, send them our way. Anyone interested can go to the front office and see our school Secretary Ms. Becerra for more information. If you refer someone, you will receive a FREE Hardy Brown College Prep t-shirt upon complete enrollment. See picture to the right.

Volunteer Hours College Field Lessons Each school year our scholars go on a college field lesson to one of our local Southern California Universities. This year is going to be the same! As we secure dates for all colleges and grade levels, I will announce it. So far, Cal Poly Pomona is booked. On May 21st, 2nd and 3rd grade will embark on a field lesson to Cal Poly Pomona. We are currently working on securing dates for the other universities and grade levels. Stay tuned!
