The Adventure of Princess

When the rain was falling down, a princess was born in Muztaz Palace.
King and Queen Iskandar named her Princess Afwa. The name of Afwa is derived
from the word Al-Afuwwu which means the forgiver. Princess Afwa had skin as
white as snow. But, half of her left cheek was covered by a brown birthmark.
Princess Afwa grew up to be a smart and helpful princess. She also grew up
to be a nice and friendly girl. She was so gentle, kind, and forgiving. No one in
Muztaz Palace had ever mocked Princess Afwas birthmark. Her weakness was
covered by her kidness and her character.
She liked going up the high tower to see the situation around the palace.
From a distance, she saw farmers were harvesting strawberries. It would be fun to
see their activities closely, she thought.
Princess Afwa decided to visit the strawberry fields with some guards.
Assalamu alaikum, greated Princess Afwa. Wa alaikum salam, Princess!
replied the farmers respectfully.
The Strawberries look ripe and fresh, said Princess Afwa. Yes, they taste
very sweet. Would you like to have a taste, Princess? Sure! Princess Afwa took
some from the basket. Youre right! Its delicious!
Hmmm, but why do you look so gloomy? wondered Princess Afwa.
The harvest is very abundant this time, said a farmer sadly.
Isnt that good news? asked Princess Afwa, confused.
We dont know how to store them. They cannot last long.
Its likely that these strawberries will get rotten before they are sold out, the
farmers complained. Hmm what shall we do? wondered Princess Afwa in her
heart.
Princess Afwa searched for ways to help the farmers. She didnt want to see
the delicious strawberries wasted. Besides, strawberries were her favorite fruit.
Ah, thats it! an idea came across her mind.
Guards, please take some of these fresh strawberries to the palace kitchen,
said Princess Afwa, pointing to a row of baskets. Will do, Princess! The guards
carried out her order immediately. The rest can be sold in Markets, said Princess
Afwa to the farmers.
In the palace kitchen, Princess Afwa gave some instructions to the head
chef. The head chef nooded. Friends, lets start working! Soon the chefs were
busy cooking.
Ow, it turned out that Princess Afwa asked the head chef to work on the
strawberries. So the strawberries could be stored for a longer time.
The people of Muztaz were invited to the harvest festival. The palace
servants distributed cakes, pudding, candies and jams made by the palace chefs.
Wow everything was made from strawberries, and they all looked delicious.
Thank you Princess Afwa! You really have a good heart, said people happily.
Princess Afwa was happy, too.
One day, King and Queen Iskandar talked to Princess Afwa. Princess
Afwa, you have an invitation from Yasminah Palace. Princess Raufa is going to
celebrate her birthday, said King Iskandar. You should gotta come! We have to
keep our relationship with Yasminah Palace, said Queen Iskandar. Princess Afwa
promised she would go.
Princess Afwa came to Yasminah Palace. All of the Princes and Princesses
from various contries came to attend Princess Raufas invitation. The arrival of
Princess Afwa became the talk among the guests. Some of the princes and
princesses teased Princess Afwa. But, Princess Afwa did not brother herself of it.
Happy birthday, Princess Raufa. I hope Allah will always bless you. This
bouquet of lily is for you, said Princess Afwa. I dont like your gift! I have a lot
of lilies in my garden! said Princess Ruafa Prodly as she threw the bouquet of lily
to the floor.
Suddenly, a miracle happened. The bouquet of lily turned into a very
beautiful fairy, but her face showed anger. Im the Lily fairy. And I will give a
lesson to the arrogant Princess Raufa! said Lily Fairy angrily.
The Lily Fairy swung her wand. Princess Raufa was so frightened. In a
flash, half of her face became brown. Then the lily fairy approached Princess Afwa
and gave her a little bottle. This bottle is filled with face recovery potion. Rub it
on your face so that your birthmark will disappear, said the Lily Fairy.
Thank you Lily Fairy. But, you should give the potion to Princess Raufa so
her face will get back to normal, said Princess Afwa. I only have a bottle and
only one person can use it, said the Lily Fairy. Thats okay. This birthmark in
my face has existed since I was born, said Princess Afwa smiling.
Princess Afwa, you are really a kind-hearted princess, said the Lily Fairy.
The Lily Fairy gave the face recovery potion to Princess Raufa. Hurriedly, Princess
Raufa used the medicine and rubbed it to her face. Princess Raufas face got back
to normal.
In the meantime, another miracle happened. The birthmark in Princess
Afwas face disappeared. Princess Afwas face shone brightly. Princess Afwa, it
is your inner beauty that changes your face, said the Lily Fairy. Thank you, Lily
Fairy, said Princess Afwa.
Princess Afwa, thank you for your kidness. Im so sorry for what Ive dont
to you, said Princess Raufa. I have forgiven you since the beginning, said
princess Afwa. All of the princes and Princesses at the party praised Princess Afwa
for being so forgiving. They also apologized to Princess Afwa.
