WIRING
At Idaho Wrecker Sales we take pride in the craftsmanship we put in every truck. We are very aware that your safety and livelihood is at stake when you operate the equipment we provide. That is why we use top shelf material and follow strict wiring procedures when we assemble equipment. We use Stainless Steel heat Shrink connectors that provide protection from the elements and corrosion resistance to ensure proper conductivity. This has never been more important than now, due to the highly corrosive deicing materials used on roads today. We use Split Loom protective covering on all exposed wires. This protects wires from getting chaffed or worn that will lead to failure. We always use a rubber or plastic grommet when passing wires through a hole. These along with the split loom ensure that the wires are never damaged. When routing wires through wrecker bodies, tool boxes or pylon we secure in a metal zip tie rod and zip tie the wires to the rod every 4 -6 inches to ensure the wiring is held in place and does not get damaged. We bring all of the wiring in a truck through a common junction box. We ground the junction box with a heavy gauge ground wire from the truck frame. We use star washers to ensure a good metal to metal contact is made on the ground cable. We provide you with a color coded wire diagram of your truck electrical system.

We are very proud of our award-winning paint department. Several of our customers and paint jobs have graced the cover of industry trade magazines. Our paint department has taken numerous awards; Western States Tow Show, Tow Times Shine n Star, and Boise Roadster Show are just a few. So whether its a full custom paint or a single color we will make it shine and last. We use high quality PPG automotive finishes. Our technicians are trained and certified by PPG. We offer PPGs limited lifetime warranty on all of our paint jobs. (This is a national warranty that can be serviced at any PPG Service Center. )

We also can design or duplicate your company logos and lettering so the truck is ready for work when you receive it. We have a line of bedliners to coat the inside of tool boxes or decks of wrecker bodies for a very durable finish. By painting in-house, we eliminate the excuses of a poor paint job.

Swaged Wire Rope

Swaged Winch Lines have two primary advantages over conventional wire rope: higher break strength and resistance to crushing. An oversized wire rope is swaged which reduces the voids between the strands. The result is more steel in a given area, which increases the break strength dramatically. When selecting a truck it is important to ask yourself What am I going to tow with it?. This is a very important question because the size of vehicle you are going to tow has a great impact on the GVW, Wheel Base, Brake Capacity and Wrecker Capacity. WreckMaster has provided this tow capacity formula to help you pick the correct wheel base. You will need to weigh the front axle of your tow truck and measure the wheel base and wheel lift overhang before doing this formula. The Tow Capacity number you get will be the maximum amount of weight you can lift and still have 50% front axle weight.
