Uttar Pradesh registered highest number of murder cases in last 3 years

An unstarred question no 1487 was asked by Rajya Sabha member Shri A.A Jinnah regarding cases of murders and Attempt murder registered in
Police station during Last three years.

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS (SHRI R.P.NSINGH) had answered on 18/12/2013 regarding the question asked

According to the information given in annexe, I have made chart of top 10 states in regards to cases of murder were registered from 2010 to 2012.

As you can see that Uttar Pradesh is #1 when it comes to cases of murder registered from 2010 to 2012. On an average 13 murder cases were

registered per day in last three years in Uttar Pradesh whereas in Maharashtra on an average 8 murder cases were registered per day in last three
years
