Traddles tells David that Micawbers is going to work for Uriah Heep (he paid their
debts).
Doras father (Mr penlow) knows that he is in love with his da!ghter beca!se he was
given so"e letters (Miss M!rdstone gave the" to hi"). He "ade David pro"ise that
he wo!ld forget Dora beca!se the#re too #o!ng to get "arried. The following da#$
David finds o!t that Mr penlow was fo!nd dead. He had dinner o!t and the servants
fo!nd hi" dead in the road. David co!ldnt speak to Dora for a long ti"e. he went to
live with her two a!nts. His a!nt reco""ended hi" to go on holida#s. He went to
Canterb!r# and he "et Micawber in Uriah Heeps office. He also "et %gnes$ who
reco""ended hi" to write to Doras a!nts to ask for their per"ission to see her. Mrs
Heep $ Uriah&s "other doesnt leave David and %gnes alone. He doesnt know if he
sho!ld tell %gnes abo!t Uriahs intention of "arr#ing her. He "eets Uriah in the garden
and he tells David that he is a rival for hi" b!t David sa#s he doesnt want to "arr#
%gnes. he is like a sister for hi" and he is engaged. Uriah is satisfied and tells her

Dora asks hi" to call her his child+wife beca!se she thinks she is ver# childish and

David and Traddles receive a letter fro" Micawber asking hi" to go to Canterb!r# with
Davids a!nt. He wants to show the" Uriah Heeps wickedness. Traddles tells the" he
is going to take care of 'ickfields doc!"ents and office. Micawber wants to show
ever#bod# how bad Uriah is2 he stole fro" 'ickfield $ he faked his signat!re$ etc.
Micawber has a lot of doc!"ents that prove this and that co!ld send Uriah to prison.
Davids a!nt asks Uriah to give her her "one# back. ,f Uriah doesnt want to go to
prison$ he will have to give 'ickfield his b!siness back. Davids a!nt got her "one#
back.
'ickfied decides to sell his office and retire. Uriah and his "other leave Canterb!r#.
Davids a!nt tells the Micawbers that the# sho!ld go to %!stralia and that she will lend

David goes back ho"e and Dora is ver# sick. He asks hi" to call %gnes. he co"es

David sees Ha" .eggott# tied to a rope tr#ing to save a sailor in danger. He drowned.

to /ngland after three #ears. Traddles "arried oph#. Her a!nt was in her ho!se. He
visits her and asks her abo!t %gnes. Her a!nt tells hi" that she will probabl# get
"arried soon. He goes to see %gnes and tells her that he loves her. he also loves
hi". %gnes tells hi" that Dora asked her to "arr# David when she died.
