A PATIENTS BILL OF RIGHTS

1.) The patient has the right to considerate and respectful care.
Of course! Not just the mere patient has the right to be respected and considerate; the entire
masses as well.
2.) The patient has the right to and is encouraged to obtain from physicians and other direct
caregivers relevant, current, and understandable information concerning diagnosis, treatment and
prognosis.
Those who are studying nursing, dieticians, nutritionist, physicians, doctorial and other health
care members, I firmly believe that they knew already in the first place, that theyre oblige to
give accurate information for the people. And so they will know and understand the significance
of having a good healthy body.
3.) The patient has the right to make decisions about the plan of care prior to and during the
course of treatment and to refuse a recommended treatment or plan of care to extend permitted
by law and hospital policy and to be informed of the medical consequences of this action.
In short of this, I think for this time, the patient has the right to choose what kind of treatment
care that the nurse should give for the patient that suits from his/her corresponding religions.
As a sign of respecting and giving rights of them because if theres no law of this,
4.) The patient has the right to have an advance directive concerning treatment or designating a
surrogate decision maker with the hospital will honor the intent of that directive to the extent
permitted by law and hospital policy.
They can do whatever they want as long as its not contradicting GODS policy and laws and
must have not against the Supreme Court law either.
5.) The partial has the right to every considerate of his privacy.
In case of discussion, consultation, examination, and treatment should be conducted so as to
protect each patients privacy.
6.) The patient has the right to expect that all communications and records pertaining to his/her
care should be treated as confidential by the hospital.
When you are task to give a confidential result of a person, should be given directly to the patient
or someone that is crucial to the patient like the parents, to show respect to them. And if you are
given it indirectly or someone that is not crucial for the patient, it would be sound untrustworthy.
The good record of the particular hospital will be destroyed because of it.
7.) The patient has the right to review the records.
To see if the nurse is doing well this time, I guess. So that, patient will know his/her current
condition.
8.) The patient has the right to expect that, within its capacities and policies, a hospital will make
reasonable response of a patient for appropriate and medically indicated care and services.
If something bad happen, hopefully nothing. The patient has the right to give immediate
straightforward response from the hospital.
9.) The patient has the right to ask and be informed of the existence of business relationships
among the hospital, educational institutions, other health care providers or players that may
influence the patients treatment and care.
The patient has the right to freely ask questions related to health problem. And I think, this one
means that clients can freely ask questions that only about his/her current health and about the
hospital where he/she stays.
10.) The patient has the right to consent to or decline to participate in proposed research studies
or human experimentation affecting his care and treatment of requiring direct patient
involvement, and to have those studies fully explained prior to consent.
When the patient is participating in the experimentation or research it proves that there is
effective care between the nurse and the client.
11.) The patient has the right to expect reasonably continuity of care when appropriate and to be
informed by physicians and other caregivers of available and realistic patient care options when
hospital care is no longer appropriate.
In hospital, there should be a continuity of work as one of the nurse job in the hospital, to obtain
and/or to look at the clients condition. The next nurse shifter, must to know fist the previous
record of the patient, to know what next thing to do.
12.) The patient has the right to be informed of hospital policies and practices that relate to
patient care, treatment and responsibilities.
The Supreme Court gave this kind of amazing right so that, simple and plain, the patient will not
be nave.
