The Committee of the Native Pony Festival was formed in February 2014,
after a gap in the calendar was realised for an all Native Pony Show. A lot of
preparation has taken place to get the show off the ground. The committee
would like to thank all of our generous sponsors and those who have supported
us. Without them this show would not have been possible. We look forward to
welcoming our exhibitors to Crescent Farm at the end of June, for what we
hope will be one of the best shows in the calendar.

ANY ABUSIVE LANGUAGE or BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS SHOW
OFFICIALS, ANIMALS or FELLOW COMPETITORS
WILL RESULT IN EXPULSION FROM THE SHOWGROUND and by
entering this Show you agree to abide by this
and all of the following:
1 All persons entering the showground must have Personal and Public Liability Insurance.
The Committee will not be held responsible for any damage, loss or injury to any animal,
person or property whilst on the showground. Under NO circumstances must anyone other
than the Judge, Stewards, Competitors and grooms enter the show rings.
2 The Judges decision is final. Any objections must be made, in writing, within one hour of
the class/incident and handed to the Secretary with a deposit of 30.
3 The Committee reserve the right to amalgamate, cancel or divide classes as entries warrant.
4 The Committee reserve the right to return or refuse any entry made either by post or on the
day.
5 Under NO circumstances will entries be substituted and any refunds will be totally at the
discretion of the committee and will be subject to the 10 admin charge.
6 In the event of postponement all entries will be carried over to the new date unconditionally.
7 In the event of cancellation, refunds MUST be requested in writing (NO emails) and
should be sent with a SAE enclosed to the Show Secretary within 28 days of the show date
and will be subject to a 10 admin charge.
8 Mountain and Moorland ponies will be shown in accordance to the Breed Society rules.
9 In-foal mares may be asked to produce a certificate of service.
10 Stallions may not be led or ridden by children under the age of 12 years in accordance
with NPS rules.
11 All trophies will remain the property of the show and must be signed for. They will be held
for the remainder of the year and must be returned to the show upon request.
12 In the interest of safety, excessive assistance or interference from outside the ring will not be
tolerated.
13 The Committee reserve the right to carry out random dope testing.
14 Dishonoured cheques will incur a 10 administration fee and may result in entries being
refused in the future.
15 Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Any dog caught off the lead will result in a 10
fine to be donated to the shows chosen charity.
16 Please use the bins provided for litter and no mucking out of horseboxes onto the show
field.

All ponies at this show must be registered in the main body of their respective
Mountain & Moorland Stud Books.
This Show is a qualifier for The NATIONAL PONY SOCIETY SUMMER
CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW to be held at Malvern from 5th 7th August 2014. All
Classes to be run under National Pony Society Rules 2014.You do not need to be
a member of The National Pony Society to compete in any class at this Show. The
Rules for the NPS can be found on their website www.nationalponysociety.com All
competitors must be deemed to have read the present rules of the National Pony
Society, and other relevant Native Pony Societies Rules.

NATIONAL PONY SOCIETY CLASSES
NPS Mountain and Moorland Qualifying Rounds: These classes are judged under
the Rules of the NPS.
Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland
Stud Books. Part- breds are not eligible. Qualifying rounds for most NPS
competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members but only
ponies owned by adult NPS Qualifying or Life members are eligible to qualify for the
final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show at Malvern from
5th -7th August 2014.
The highest placed pony, if owned by an NPS member, in each class will
qualify for the final.
Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are
already qualified.

NPS/Rosettes Direct Home Produced Ridden Championship - Riders of Home
Produced ponies (see definition in the NPS Rules Book) can wear a white arm band
in classes where this is indicated. These ponies, if owned by NPS members, are then
eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship Show.

NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championships: These classes are judged under the Rules
of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the
champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. A valid membership card
must be in the riders/handlers possession on entering the ring and be produced
immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the
Champion pony is not a member, or the owners membership card is not immediately
produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have
the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is
still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the
Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS.
The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than
first Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships.
This Show is also a qualifier for EQUIFEST. The two highest placed exhibits not
already qualified will qualify for the relevant EQUIFEST CHAMPIONSHIP to be
held at the East of England Showground on the 13th - 17th August 2013.

Classes 1 to 23 are qualifiers for EQUIFEST/DRUMACRE HALL Mountain &
Moorland In Hand Championship. The two highest placed exhibits not already
qualified will qualify.
Classes 24 to 28 are qualifiers for EQUIFEST/THE HEWITT FAMILY Open
Ridden Mountain & Moorland Championship. The two highest placed exhibits
not already qualified will qualify.
Classes 42 to 44 are qualifiers for EQUIFEST/THE WINDSOR-PHILLIPS
FAMILY Junior Mountain & Moorland Ridden Championship. The two highest
placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify.
Class 45 is a qualifier for EQUIFEST/ RCH FARRIERY Mountain & Moorland
Lead Rein Championship. The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified
will qualify.
Class 46 is a qualifier for EQUIFEST/THE CHOYNOWSKI FAMILY Mountain
& Moorland First Ridden Championship. The two highest placed exhibits not
already qualified will qualify.
Classes 52 to 54 are qualifiers for EQUIFEST Mountain & Moorland Working
Hunter Pony Championship. The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified
will qualify.

Please contact the Equifest office prior to the Native Pony Festival to obtain a
qualifying card. Exhibitors will require the qualifying cards to be signed by the judge
on the day for qualification to be acknowledged.

TSR Riders Championships - This show is a qualifier for the TSR Riders
Championships. In classes 24-57 (inclusive) 1st & 2nd riders qualify & can choose
which final they go to either TSR Gala Show 19th & 20th July, Onley EC, Rugby
OR Wales & South West Riders final 6th Sep at SWPA Champs Show, Monmouth
OR Scottish Riders final 13th & 14th Sep Grand Slam Show, Ingliston EC,

bacon, burgers, hot beef and sausage sandwiches, chips, hot and cold
