Success
"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that
counts"- Winston Churchill
Gregor Etaryan
I am 19 years old and I was born and
raised in the U.S. I am a Business
Management major and I am pursuing a
career as a financial analyst.

Cultural Diversity of Literature
English 114B is not an
ordinary class, but a class filled
with new experiences, adventures
and still teaching me to effectively
read and view critically of the
diverse literature throughout the
semester. Throughout the semester
I have obtained a high knowledge
of the diverse world we all live in
and that society is changing and
Medias Sexual Conformity
In this essay I explain the ideas and changes in society due to the media that we are all
surrounded by with all the technological advances. Medias impact on females is
tremendous and it gets women to the point where they begin to losing themselves and
are not being able to find their identities, because of all the things they see and hear in
the media and not knowing what is true and what is not. What I have changed from my
draft is the idea that women are losing their identity instead of conforming, because
women try to conform to society, but begin to lose themselves instead and are at a loss
of figuring out who they truly are. The overall goal is to show that media has a major
impact in shaping the minds of young females into something they are not and they lose
focus on whom they truly are and identity is lost.
will always continue to change. I
have applied that to my writing
skills through the analytical
analysis of the readings
throughout the semester such as
Persepolis 2 by Marji Satrapi. I
am now able to critically analyze
the literature I read and engage
my mind in exploring the bigger
picture.

Disparity is amid

key
Empowerment of Sexualization
I would have to say that in
the beginning of this semester
I was not able to critically
read and understand
Literature and was very weak
at understanding the bigger
picture. As the semester
progressed and has now
finally reached an end, I am
confident in saying that I can
analyze a cultural diversity of
literature. The biggest lesson
I have learned in this course
is the acceptance and
diversity in the changing
world and being able to
properly apply it to my
writing.
The message that I am conveying in my
second essay is that women have begun to
use their sexuality as a way to manipulate
people, especially men and over power
them. Media plays a big role which
manipulates the minds of the young and
women begin to learn that they can use
their sexuality as a way of powering other
men to get what they want. What I have
changed from my draft is a few
grammatical errors and I have clearly stated
my opinion.
CREATIVE
APPROACHES

Throughout the semester we
discussed a variety of topics
such as the LGBTIQ-Lesbian,
Gay, Bisexual, Transgender,
Intersex and Queer- rights
and the emergence of media
around us. Ive learned that
not everyone is born a like
and people must accept that
the world is changing. One
must first accept themselves
in order to be accepted by
others.

Nothing is meant to stay the same and change is imminent in
the world and people must accept that.
