go to myself and recommend checking out. And all WonderCon attendees have to
remember that you need to register first for a panel to guarantee you have the
best shot at getting inside. Just showing up outside a panel room flashing your
badge will not guarantee you getting inside. You will spend your day being
bummed and Tweeting about how you did not get to see your favorite celeb,

Spiritual Themes in Comics

2014 looks to be a year for Biblical epics, with big budget movies such as Noah, Exodus, and
Mary, Mother of Christ. Yet such Bible-based stories already have a long tradition within the
comic book medium. The Christian Comic Arts Society hosts a discussion on the history and
influence of the Christian comics movement. Panelists include Fred Price (Pastor of Crenshaw
Christian Center), Eric Jansen (Foursquare Mission Press, God and Country Graphics), Kevin

WonderCon Anaheim and Warner Bros. Television proudly continue the tradition of exclusive
sneak peek screenings with two upcoming episodes of The 100, plus advance episode screenings
of Revolution and Teen Titans Go!.

The 100-Be the first to see the next two all-new action-packed episodes of The 100 beginning
with episode 6, "His Sister's Keeper" (scheduled to air 4/23) and followed by episode 7,
"Contents Under Pressure" (scheduled to air 4/30). Set almost a hundred years after mankind
nearly destroyed itself with nuclear war, a group of survivors living on a space station called the

Teen Titans Go!-Everyone's favorite teenage superheroes, the Teen Titans, will be dropping in
with an all-new hilarious and action-packed episode of Teen Titans Go! Be one of the first to

they give viewers a look at what life is really like as a teen superhero . . . once the capes come
off. Inspired by the original Teen Titans series from Warner Bros. Animation that ran for five

The Men Who Made Batman

2014 marks the 100th birthday of Batman's uncredited co-creator Bill Finger, the 75th
anniversary of Batman's first appearance, the 50th anniversary of the "New Look" Batman, and

serious Dark Knight. Celebrate by looking back at how Bob Kane and Bill Finger created the

Comics Arts Conference Session #3: Graphic Novels and Comics in the Classroom: A
Roundtable Discussion

Whether using graphic novels or comics to explain cultural differences, history, or art, there are
many educational factors that sequential art can teach, in classes from the high school to the
college level. Christina Angel (Metropolitan State University of Denver), Robert Weiner
(Texas Tech University), Hannah Means-Shannon (Georgian Court University), Carrye Kay
Syma (Texas Tech University), and James Bucky Carter (Washington State University)-the
editors and authors of Graphic Novels and Comics in the Classroom: Essays on the Educational
Power of Sequential Art-offer a lively discussion of the value of sequential art in and for
education. This roundtable will focus on both the methodological and pedagogical approaches
from the book, discussing the process involved in putting together the volume. The book's
contributors will give their unique perspectives on the educational potential of using comics in
the classroom.

Queer Horror

Horror films, TV shows, books, and comics are more popular than ever. Authors, filmmakers,
and comics creators are always looking for new twists to the medium, including presenting
LGBT subtext, plot elements, and characters. But does a gay horror genre exist, and if so what
makes it different from mainstream horror? Do queer horror creators bring a different sensibility
to the medium? Has the current surge of LGBTQ acceptance and civil rights influenced the
horror genre? Prism Comics and moderator/horror expert Sean Abley (Fangoria,Out in The
Dark) explore these and other aspects of this popular genre from a queer perspective. Panelists
include Paul Etheredge Outz (Hellbent), Jeffrey Reddick (Final Destination, Day of The
Dead), J. T. Seaton (Nightshadows, NOLA Horror Film Fest), Jody Wheeler (The Dark Place,
Door Q), and others to be announced.
