Document Usage

This chapter describes the relationship among different manuals
in the ZXG10 iBSC (V6.00) document set. It also explains the
method and order of usage of these manuals to obtain
information easily.
Relationship among Manuals
Every manual in the set focus on different aspect of ZXG10 iBSC
(V6.00) but they are related to each other. Usage of these
manuals in appropriate way and correct order makes the system
configuration, installation, and operation easier and trouble free.
Figure 1 explains the relationship among manuals in the set.

Most important is the Technical manual that provides details
about the technical specifications and standards followed in this
system. It is helpful in understanding functionality of the whole
system and makes it easier for engineers to configure and
operate.

Hardware manual contains hardware details of the system
including description of cabinet, shelves, and boards. It serves
as a reference for equipment installation and maintenance.
Installation manual includes all the details of equipment
installation and instructions regarding how to make the system
work efficiently. ZXG10 iBSC (V6.00) complete installation
includes both hardware and software installation.
Maintenance manual serves as a reference for maintenance
personnel to maintain and troubleshoot the system.
Order of Usage
ZTE recommends reading the Documentation Guide first to
understand the documents architecture, purpose, contents, and
usage of the ZXG10 iBSC (V6.00) document set.
To understand the functionality of the system, refer to technical
manual for technical details and hardware manual to understand
the functions of modules and boards. It also explains the
connection relationship of external interfaces, LED indicators,
and DIP switch and jumper settings.
For correct installation and configuration of the system, refer to
installation manual.
For handling major and critical faults that interrupt the network
services and proper maintenance of the system, refer to
maintenance manual.

Document Distribution
and Customer Feedback

This chapter describes the document distribution methods to the
customers and provides information regarding customer
feedback.
Document Distribution
Product manuals are distributed to the customers in the
following ways:
Printed manuals are shipped along with the equipment.
Manuals in PDF format on CDs are shipped along with the
equipment.
Manuals in word format are available on the ZTEs technical
support website, http://support.zte.com.cn
Follow these steps to download electronic product manuals
from the ZTE technical support website:
i. Open http://support.zte.com.cn and click English to go
to the English version homepage.
ii. In the User Center pane, input your username,
password and check code, and click Log In.
For first time registration on the server, click Register
and input related information by following the on-screen
instructions. After confirmation and completion of the
registration process, the customer is sent a username
and password for logging on to the website.
iii. Click Documentation on the main menu, select Product
Manuals from the left pane and then click GSM/GPRS
from a list of products displayed in the right pane.
Click the desired product version link. A list of documents
accompanying the chosen product is displayed. Click the

desired document link and then click the download link
subsequently to download the file.
iv. Another option is to search for the document by inputting
the keywords in the Keyword field and click the Search
button. Also the Related Search field on the upper right
corner can be used to input the product category name
and search for the desired document.
