GUIDELINES

1 In the yellow cell to the right of "Territory" select your territory HQ from the drop down list
2 Check if the correct Region and State appear in the adjacent cells
3 Data for the products that are mentioned in the sheet have to be necessarily entered (PL DO NOT CHANGE THE SEQUENCE)
4 In column J the attribute of the product that is an adantage over others has to be mentioned
5 In column K mention the volume of product sold in the preceeding 12 months in KGs
6 In column L mention the Seed Rate in KGs, for example for 250 gms per acre - enter 0.250
7 In column N mention the yield in TON
8 In column O mention the distributor price of the variety
9 In column P mention the maximum produce price of this variety in the preceeding 12 months
10 In column Q mention the minimum produce price of this variety in the preceeding 12 months
11 After filling out the details of the products mentioned in the sheet, proceed to fill out the details of other leading varieties in your territories. ALSO PROVIDE DATA FOR SEMINIS PRODUCTS
12 If the variety is new (launched in the previous 12 months in your territory) in column F select "New Product" from the drop down menu
13 If the variety is old (launched earlier than the previous 12 months in your territory) leave column F BLANK
14 In column G mention the variety name
15 In column H select the Company Name from the drop down menu. If the company name does not appear here, select "OTHER" in the drop down
16 In column H if you have selected "OTHER" enter the company name in column I, else leave it blank
17 Columns F to Q refer to the HYBRID Varieties of the segment mentioned in column E
18 Columns R to AA refer to the OP Varieties of the segment mentioned in column E
19 In column AC in the first cell of this segment select the appropriate option from drop down
20 In column AC mention the trend of OP to hybrid conversion for your territory
21 In AE mention the critical requirements for success in this segment in your territory - for example if under current circumstances what does a product need to have to succeed?
22 In column AF in the first cell of this segment select the appropriate option from drop down
23 In column AF mention the emerging market trends in your territory
24 In columns K, L, N, O, P, Q, U, V, X, AA you can enter only numbers. If you try to enter kg or grams or any text; it will show an error message
25 For every segment mention the details of leading products in your territory
26 After entering the data for leading products, you may club the rest of the products and enter the product name as "OTEHRS" to enter the balance market data
27 For "OTHERS" product the company name should also be selected as "OTHERS" from the drop down and columns I & column J need to be left blank
28 The worksheet "WORKINGS" is for you do your workings of the data collected, if you need to. You can make any change you want to in that sheet.
Note:
Pl try to provide sales data for as many varieties as possible (variety wise sales data must be equivalent to 90 % of the size of a particular segment. You can indicate balance 10 %
sales as Others)
Summation of sales of all hybrids + OTHERS must be equal to segment size of your territory
