Another interesting factor that
makes the Sounders experience
even more unique is that we use

ages, non-alcoholic and all alcohol-
ic all compostable. In 2009, as
an overall facility, Qwest Field won

Between the gluten free menu (new
this year), the heavy emphasis on
local produce and a campaign to
cut down on the output of the facil-
ity, those at the stadium are making
serious changes. Wether you are
just grabbing garlic fries and a beer
or checking out our selection of
uniquly crafed fve star food, this is
the only way to fully get the Sound-
ers Experience.
Te Sounders Experience
You see, one thing that youll notice
about a typical Sounders game
is the fact that there are a little
over a dozen neatly set tables that
would normally belong at a local
high-end restaurant lining the feld
on the east side. Another thing
youd notice is that those tables are
eventually flled by people during
the game, who can place orders and
enjoy their meal in one of the most
up-close-and-personal
While the Seattle Sounders players
shed their blood, sweat and tears at
CenturyLink Field on match day,
roughly 35,000 onlookers are busy
stufng their faces with delicious
snacks and washing it down with a
beer or twelve.
But to a select group of Sounders
fans, onlooker has a seriously
diferent twist. Just ask the groups
seated at the 15 feld-side tables if
theyre more worried about wheth-
er the steak they ordered is actually
well done or taking a ball straight

experience you could get at a
professional sports stadium. Te
Seattle Sounders are the only team
in the MLS who allow for this sort
of accommodation on game day,

you how cool he thinks it is.

ise of minority owner Drew Carey to involve the fans in the decision making process of
the team. Te Alliance Council has designated Carey as the Honorary Chairman of the
Alliance.
Im very excited about what were doing here in Seattle, said Carey. Where else can the
fans fre the general manager? I hope this becomes a model for every professional sports
organization in America.
Fans will have a say in the direction of the franchise, including a vote on retention or lack
of confdence for the general manager every four years. Te frst general manager vote took
place in the fall of 2012 at the end of the Major League Soccer season.
We learned through the name the team vote that our fans are passionate, active and want
to be involved in this democratic process, said majority owner Joe Roth. Members can
voice their opinions on a wide variety of issues from team play to game presentation and
ultimately to the performance of our management. Although membership groups like this
are new to American sports, they are important to world class European soccer clubs like
Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
All Alliance members will be invited to an annual meeting hosted by Club ownership and
the Alliance Council.
In addition, members will have the opportunity to be elected to the Alliance Council.
Council delegates will serve on a biennial basis. Members interested in participating on the
council must receive a minimum of 25 votes from other Alliance members.
