ABSTRACT
Investment goals vary from person to person while somebody wants security others might give more weight age to return alone . IMF industry offers various of schemes and serves broadly all type of investor . The range of products includes equity funds , debts & balanced fund . There are also funds meants exclusively for young & old, small &large investors. Moreover the setup of a legal structure which has enough teeth to safeguard investors interest , ensures that the hard earnes money. In view of the growing competiton in the mutual fund industry it was felt necessary to study the investor orientation towards mutualfund ie their pattern of risk & preferences in various schemes, plans & options in order to provide a better service.
