Introduction
Enzymes are proteins that act as catalysts, speed up reactions without being
exhausted. They are responsible for most reactions to support life, and can be used
repeatedly. Enzymes are highly specific, by binding to the substrate to form an
enzyme-substrate complex, making the enzyme more reactive. Temperature and
pH, also play a role in Enzyme function. pH is important, the enzyme can be
denatured or lose its ability to function if the pH is too acidic or basic. There is a
Temperature range, which is most suitable for the enzyme to function. Just as in
the body, if the body Temperature because of whatever reason, the change in
temperature changes the ability the body has to fight an infection or perform
certain tasks.
