Never has a city in these modern times had to experience the infrastructure challenges
currently facing New Zealands second largest city. The Christchurch City Council has
extensive and ongoing challenges for many, many years to come and they seek a motivated
and committed leader who will empower others, and provide strong leadership and guidance
to a team of 25 through 4 direct reports.
You will be responsible for guiding the rebuild of the Citys infrastructure. You will create
and review the technical standards and develop infrastructure that will survive throughout
the generations, challenge the rigours of international best practice and make Christchurch
New Zealands most resilient City.
Your extensive career and expertise in Asset Management is likely to have crossed water
supply, wastewater, stormwater, transport and greenspace. A Chartered Engineer you will be
highly respected within your engineering community and well regarded for your technical
knowledge, advice and recommendations. You have the ability to develop excellent
relationships and your outstanding communication skills will be another key attribute.
