Introduction
The aims of the report are to show
the range of equipment brought, the
prices of them and why they have
been bought. Ive split my report into
three easy categories Video, Sound
and Lighting.
Video
Canon XF305 HD Camcorder

The reasons I bought this camera:

It captured in an industry-standard MXF making the files
compatible with most editing software.

A wide range of frame rates from 12 to 50 fps. This will be very
usful for capturing different styles of film in HD.

GoPro Hero3

The reasons I brought this:
It gives me the ability to film some shots and angles I wouldnt be
able to film with bigger camcorders.

GoPro is one of world's best-selling camera company, there
cameras have a high-frame rate, the video modes result in
professional quality footage and allow for liquid-smooth slow
motion playback, ultra-high-resolution, cinema quality capture.

I think Im planning to buy a number of these cameras as they are
very cheap and very useful.

Lighting
Dedolight KDS31M (KDS-31M) 1 soft head & 3 hard
heads master kit.

The reason I brought these lights is there come with 1 soft head
and 3 hard head lights what is quite a nice range. It also comes
with a wide range of filters, barn doors, dimers, adaptors and
stands.

Lighting is one of the most important parts of film making.
Without lighting the atmosphere for scenes can completely change.
Its also something that can turn your production for an amateur
video to a professional film.

Sound

I chose the rode video Mike because of the following:

it is capable of recording studio quality
it's a condenser microphone
its battery-powered, therefore can be used in various places
it has integrated shock mounting, this makes it easier to use on
the move and at short notice
includes a windshield for better quality and has a 3.5 mm jack
output

The next piece of sound equipment I'm going to purchase is the
Sennheiser Evolution 100 ENG G3 Radio Mic Kit.
Is microphone be useful to the audio is on actors instead of
directly from the camera mic.
The reasons I purchased these mics in particular are:
relatively cheap for the quality
incredibly durable and reliable
good range of audio sensitivity
wide range of accessories adapts the system to any requirements
