India: Dholka and Wavel Fields
In 1995, J TI entered i nto a producti on shari ng agreement wi th the
Government of Indi a (GOI) to devel op the Dhol ka and Wavel fi el ds i n Guj arat,
Indi a. Si nce that ti me, we have i ncreased producti on i n the Dhol ka Fi el d by
over 50%. Through our onsi te i mprovements and anal ysi s of the fi el d's
proven reserves, we bel i eve that there i s a tremendous upsi de potenti al i n
i ncreasi ng both oi l and gas producti on.
The Dhol ka and Wavel fi el ds are l ocated i n the state of Guj arat i n Indi a,
about 320 mi l es (515 ki l ometers) and 339 mi l es (546 ki l ometers) north of
Mumbai (Bombay) respecti vel y. Dhol ka i s about 38 mi l es (60 ki l ometers)
south of Ahmedabad and Wavel i s about 15 mi l es (25 ki l ometers) north east
of Ahmedabad, a maj or ci ty i n Guj arat, Indi a. The Dhol ka fi el d has numerous
hydrocarbon zones i ncl udi ng conventi onal sandstone- si l tstone reservoi rs
and newl y di scovered shal e reservoi rs. The Wavel Fi el d al so has numerous
hydrocarbon zones.
As of December 2013, Dhol ka Fi el d produces about 9500 barrel s of oi l
equi val ent per day (BOE/D) i ncl udi ng 1. 3 Mi l l i ons of cubi c feet of gas per
day. The Wavel Fi el d produces about 75 barrel s of oi l per day. J TI's total
current producti on from the oi l fi el ds i n Indi a i s about 1,025 barrel s of oi l
equi val ent per day (BOE/D). The oi l produced i s 40 API gravi ty.
Dholka Field:
As of December 2013, there are 30 produci ng wel l s i n the Dhol ka fi el d. Total
oi l producti on from the Dhol ka Fi el d i s about 720 barrel s of oi l per day. In
2004, J TI started sel l i ng natural gas produced i n the Dhol ka fi el d. At present
we sel l about 29,000 Std. Cubi c Meters (SCM) of gas dai l y [ 1000 MSCF/day] ,
whi ch i s used by l ocal i ndustri es. Dai l y gas sal es are approxi matel y 50
barrel s of oi l equi val ent per day. Thus the total producti on from Dhol ka
Fi el d i s about 770 barrel s of oi l equi val ent per day.
We own a work- over ri g whi ch i s currentl y bei ng used to i mprove producti on
i n the Dhol ka & Wavel fi el ds.
Duri ng 2010, we perforated and sti mul ated the unconventi onal "K- 4 Shal e"
zone i n wel l DK- 19. As a resul t, DK- 19 produced about 15 barrel s of oi l per
day and 600 cubi c meters of gas per day [ 21 MSCF/day] from K- 4 Shal e. We
are currentl y eval uati ng commerci al devel opment of "shal e gas" and "shal e
oi l " i n the Dhol ka Fi el d.
Duri ng the thi rd quarter of 2013, J TI started dri l l i ng three new wel l s i n the
Dhol ka Fi el d. As of December 2013, the three new wel l s are produci ng a
total of 320 barrel s of oi l per day. The three new wel l s are i n the i ni ti al
stage of producti on and we expect the producti on to decl i ne unti l the wel l s
stabi l i ze. In the fi rst quarter of 2014, J TI pl ans to dri l l two new wel l s. J TI
expects to add dai l y producti on of 80 barrel s of oi l equaval ent per day from
the two new wel l s.
Wavel Field:
J TI started oi l producti on from the Wavel fi el d i n J anuary 2004. As of
December 2013, these two wel l s produce 75 barrel s of oi l per day.
Production Update, December 2013
As of December 2013, the average dai l y oi l producti on from both the Dhol ka
and Wavel fi el ds i s about 975 barrel s of oi l per day. J TI currentl y sel l s about
34,000 cubi c meters of gas per day equi val ent to 50 barrel s of oi l per day.
The total dai l y oi l equi val ent i s about 1,025 BOE per day.
