APPEAL
Apart from food, shelter, warm cloths, blankets and medical relief, the families of
affected areas need long term rehabilitation and support. Al-Khidmat appeals to
the inland and overseas Pakistanis and donor agencies to act promptly at this
moment of suffering and pain. The below freezing point temperature of the region
is making the situation more devastating especially for the children and elderly.
Al-Khidmat through its well organized team of volunteers can carry out the
required relief work which is its hallmark and well recognized internationally.
Rehabilitation Program
Apart from food and medicines for urgent need, shelter considering the
devastating affects of bone chilling weather in the region is planned by Al-
Khidmat.
Proposed shelter is comprised of two rooms and a kitchen and a bathroom.
It will cost 200,000 Rs for each.
As firs step we have an estimate of 100 shelters of Rs 20,000,000.
Usually a village in this region is composed of 30 to 40 houses, so the first step
will completely rehabilitate 2 villages.
