GTNU:

The Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) switching subsystem provides circuit switched domain (CS)
switching for the system.
The T!" board operates in active and standby modes.
#hen other boards perform active$standby switchover% the T!" board detects the speech channels
on the &'DS lin(s.
#hen the T!"s perform active$standby switchover% other boards detect the speech channels on the
&'DS lin(s.
The T!" has the following functions)
*roviding +,- . /+,- . TDM switching
0llocating TDM networ( resources% establishing% and releasing radio lin(s.
GSCU:
The SC" is the switching control unit in the 1SC2333. The active and standby SC" are inserted in
slots 2 and 4 of the M*S56*S5TCS. The SC" board provides maintenance management of the
subrac( and 6 switching platform for the subrac(.
The SC" has the following functions)
*erforming maintenance management of the subrac(.
*roviding a 6 platform for the subrac(.
*roviding cloc( information for the other boards in the same subrac( except the C".
GGCU:
The hardware entity of the cloc( subsystem is the SM eneral Cloc( "nit (C").
The cloc( sources of the 1SC2333 are as follows)
Building Integrated Timing Supply System (BITS)
There are two types of 17TS cloc() , M89 cloc( and , Mbit5s cloc(. The , Mbit5s cloc( source has higher
anti$interference capabilities than the , M89 cloc( source.
Line clock
The line cloc( extracted from the 0 interface is processed and generates , M89 cloc( and - (89 cloc(. The
, M89 cloc( signals output from the 0 interface panel and then are sent to the C" board in the M*S
subrac(.
!ote) The :3+ does not support this cloc(.
Local free-run clock
The C" has the following functions)

GGCU Reference Clock Input
To input the active$standby cloc( of the C"% you can use the signals provided by the 17TS and the
,.3;-M89 cloc( signal extracted from the upper$level cloc( by the interface panel in the service subrac(.
The C" bac(plane uses the interface panel of the same subrac( to extract the - .89 cloc( signals from
the upper$level cloc(s.
Reference Clock for te G!"S or G#"S
The reference cloc(s are provided by the C". The reference cloc(s generate -(89 cloc( signals through
the C".

G!"S$ The cloc( signals are sent to the SC" in the M*S subrac( through the bac(plane. Then% the
cloc( signals are sent to other boards in the same subrac(.
G#"S$ The cloc( signals are sent to the SC" board in the 6*S subrac( through the cloc( cable. Then%
the signals are sent to other boards through the bac(plane.
Reference Clock for te GTCS
6ach TCS extracts line cloc( from the 0 interface. The line cloc( is processed through 0 interface panel
and then generates - .89 cloc( signals.
The cloc( signals are sent to the SC" in the subrac( through the bac(plane. Then the cloc( signals are
sent to other boards in the same subrac(.
