QA/ QC Manager Role

1) Organize Quality induction/ FPD induction/ TFA training sessions for IC supervisors. Track
training status per contractor general works, fitters, foremen and supervisors (tightness
flanges, tightness instrument connections, and cleanliness). Manage the whole process and
report out training statistics.
2) Initiate Quality day and provide inputs.
3) Issue Quality alerts and banners at construction site.
4) Initiate Quality HITS like Safety HITS.
5) Quality Audits at site/ offsite. Schedule to be in place and execution to happen.
a. Document management audits for ICs.
b. ITP compliance audits.
c. Material control and fabrication audits.
d. Preservation at site/ offsite (N2 purging, Electrical heaters on, VCI, etc) audits.
e. Etc
6) Integrate all the below sub-disciplines together and be accountable for the same.
7) Ensuring all statutory equipment is registered and inspection form A is available for
submission to Company Inspection Engineer; for filing into statutory equipment file.
8) Organize bi-weekly meetings at EM level.
9) Organize monthly Quality committee meetings and report out KPIs.
QA/ QC Lead
Construction
1) Ensure that ITPs/ ITRs are in place and approved by relevant disciplines.
2) Track site/ off-site inspection status as per ITPs through construction supervisors and report
it out during bi-weekly and monthly meetings. What Company is interested to know is that
for the current jobs, how the inspection items are progressing.
3) Surveillance IC audit schedule, findings, report out and closure. The audit shall cover all sub-
disciplines and not only limited to fabrication. Convert all observation to QOR/ NCR for
closure.
4) Reporting out the KPIs as identified in the report (weld reject/ RT/ PWHT status, NCR/ QOR
status).
5) Tracking the NCR/ QOR status to closure. Highlighting open ones. (Include FPD audit
observation, all Quality audits observation and QORs highlighted by the project team and
others).
6) Highlight relevant quality issues and lessons learnt (with Photographs) for Q-alerts issuance
by QA/QC Manager.

Engineering
1) Manage the inspection schedule for vendor inspections and ensure that RFIs are being
attended to in line with criticality.
2) Manage RFI and IRN log (equivalent to QOR log) and ensure that findings from there are
tracked and reported out for action.
3) Reporting out the KPIs as identified in the KPI report (RFI log, NCR status).
4) Tracking the NCR status to closure. Highlighting open ones.
5) Carry out manufacturing audits of vendors in line with Criticality Rating (combine with PIM if
possible).
6) Issue TPI inspection report to Company Inspection Engineer on a timely manner. This is to
ensure that comments by TPI are not missed out and thus no closure.
FPD
1) Flawlist / QAT tracking to ensure quality and completion.
2) Q-round schedule to be in place and ensure that people attend the same. Track Q-round
schedule and report out any issues to QA/ QC manager.
3) Manage Q-round findings and track closure through QA/ QC lead.
4) Q-round FPD reporting. Convert all observation to QOR for closure through QA/ QC lead.
5) FPD training sessions carried out for various Q-areas. Report out training statistics to QA/ QC
manager.
6) Send Q-round reports to QA/ QC manager.
TFA
1) TFA management procedure to be released. TFA managed by FW person (recruited from
TAT alliance).
2) Flange list to be prepared and actively track completion of flanges, seal tracking, including
highlighting issues and closure of the same. Owner of flange tracking master list: reported
by Reddy
3) Vendor packaged equipment TFA seal philosophy and execution at site: reported by Reddy.
4) Manage the Company TFA inspection schedule: RFI by ?
5) Manage FW TFA inspection schedule (100% inspection by FW). Status update ?
6) Report out TFA completion statistics (flange completion, defects, rectification).
7) TFA training sessions for fitters, foremen and supervisors: Reported by Reddy.
Instrument fittings
1) Instrument fittings (Swagelok, Parker) awareness training for fitters, foremen and
supervisors (including EPCm supervisors). Track and report status.
2) Instrument fittings (Swagelok, Parker) training and Testing by authorized trainer for
authorized fitters. Track and report status.
Cleanliness checks
1) 100% visual check by IC and EPCm and random checks by Company before box up based on
criticality. Track the same.
