Every establishment, be it a discotheque, bar, hotel or


nightclub seeks to attract clientele by establishing and o!ering
a specic style or ambiance. Lighting, furniture, music and
decor are all painstakingly considered and invested in. But
what about the door sta!? Are they driving away the
customers you desire or are they attracting customers you do
not desire?
Its all about Training
Here in Hong Kong, a relatively safe and calm city, door sta!
training is usually something that is a low priority. The door
sta! themselves are often seen as a necessary evil whose role is
to sort out problems when regular sta! are unable to do so.
More often than not they are outsourced and when things go
awry either the vendor is told to replace the team or sta! or
the vendor is replaced. This reactive measure merely glosses
over the symptoms rather than cures the problem. In fact, all
that happens is the ill#trained sta! are re deployed elsewhere
and a new, equally un#trained, $in terms of establishments
expectations, that is% is brought in to ll the gap.

SRCs Front Line Training
Conict resolution negotiations, particularly with clientele
who are possibly under the inuence of drink, drugs or just
plain old fatigue can be a daunting and stressful experience,
particularly for sta! who are unsure of the boundaries they are
expected to work within.
Our conict resolution training gives sta! the condence and
knowledge to handle your customers in a manner betting your
establishment, detect, deter and di!use conict situations
before they become out of hand and to do so in a manner that
remains lawful and dignied to all concerned.
Based on the United Kingdoms Security Industry Authoritys
Door Supervisor Course, our Front Line Training is delivered
by UK industry experts who bring with them a rich blend of
practical and relevant experience plus the theoretical know
how to create a meaningful and relevant training experience.
Course Conduct
The standard course covers both theoretical knowledge and
practical training. During the course, students will learn the
legal parameters they are at liberty to work within and
opportunity to role play, true to life scenarios that focus in on
the issues they themselves have been facing.
Where ever possible we suggest training occurs at the actual
workplace, where the practical skills can be conducted in as
true to life manner as possible. Active student participation is
very much required as each participant will be assessed on their
new knowledge retention and ability to put the taught skills
into practice during the role play situations.
Maximum course size is ten students to one instructor.
