Case Preparation Questions
1. Should Mr. Millar approve Carsons proposal to launch Distinto? Defend your response
with strong evidence and arguments.
2. What recommendations would you make to the organization concerning the conflicting
proposals for Kelleys Revenge and Banrock Station? Clearly identify a possible HQ
decision and supporting evidence as well as a Subsidiary perspective before making your
choice.

Assignments should be typed, single space, 12 Times New Roman Script. The cover page should
consists of the name of the case, the number of the group, the names of the group members, the
section and the name of the group leader to be highlighted. Assignments should not be more than
3 pages. Only hard copies submissions are allowed.
Deadline for submission is 14

July, 2014, 5 PM. The cases would be discussed in the class
on 15
th
July. Group3 to make the presentation. All groups other than the presenting group
are required to submit the assignment. Group 3 to email me a copy of the presentation to
saptarshi@iimk.ac.in

We would initiate our discussion on Emerging Markets on 22
nd
July, 2014. It may be a good idea
to start reading the book (if you have not already started) Emerging Markets Rule so that you are
well prepared for the discussion.
