TENDER CALL NOTICE
DIRECTOR, SPORTS & YOUTH SERVICES, ORISSA, NAYAPALLI,
BHUBANESWAR-12 invites Sealed Tenders from Registered Firms/Manufactures/
Authorized Dealers/S.S.I Units/E.P.M Rate Contact holders for supply of the
Sports Uniforms/Consumable and Non-Consumable Sports Goods/Bedding
materials & Sports Shoes as per list enclosed for use by the inmates of Sports
Hostels of Government in the Department of Sports and Youth Services, Orissa
during 2009-2010.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. The tender papers will be available in the Directorate of Sports & Youth
Services, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar 751012 (Orissa) on payment of Rs. 1,000/-
(Rupees one thousand) only. The tenderers desirous to down-load the
tender paper from web-site will have to attach Bank Draft of Rs. 1,000/-
drawn in favour of the Asst. Director, Planning, Directorate of Sports & Youth
Services, Orissa in any Nationalized Bank payable at Bhubaneswar along-with
the tender documents.
2. The intending Tenderers are required to submit the samples of the items
along with the rate per each item.
3. The tenderers are required to furnish VAT clearance certificate along with the
prescribed format VAT 612 issued by the competent authority along with the
Tender paper.
4. Where the submission of any sample is not possible the detail
specification/diagram and brochures etc. should be furnished.
5. The tenderers are also required to deposit an E.M.D amount of Rs. 30,000/-
(Rupees thirty thousand)only in shape of Bank Draft drawn in favour of the
Asst. Director, Planning, Directorate of Sports & Youth Services, Orissa in any
Nationalized Bank payable at Bhubaneswar along-with the tender
documents.
6. The Tender papers will be received through a Sealed Tender Box kept in the
office of the Director, Sports and Youth Services, Orissa, Nayapalli,
Bhubaneswar-12 or his authorized officer up to 3.00 P.M on 21-12-2009 and will
be opened at 4.00 P.M on the same day by the Director, Sports and Youth
Services or his authorized officer on his behalf in his office Chamber in
presence of the Tenderers or their authorized representatives.
7. The Tenders received after due date and time as well as without sample,
E.M.D and any other required documents shall not be taken into
consideration.
8. The charge towards VAT, packing, forwarding and freight etc. should be
indicated separately if applicable.
9. The rate quoted should be valid up to 31-03-2010
10. The Sample or each item will be examined by a Technical Committee prior to
placement of the tenders before the Departmental Purchase Committee for
their consideration and approval.
11. The list of the Sports items and quantity enclosed in this Tender are tentative
but the purchase order will be placed as per actual requirement subject to
availability of funds.
12. The selected Tenderers should supply the materials in the office of the
Directorate of Sports and Youth Services, Orissa, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar-12
within 15 (fifteen) days from the date of issue of supply order, strictly as per
the sample approved by the Departmental Purchase Committee/Technical
Committee.
13. If the supplier fails to supply the materials within the stipulated period and as
per the approved sample, the E.M.D will be forfeited and the purchase order
will be canceled.
14. The Tenderers should put their signature or any distinguishing mark & serial
number on all the samples submitted by them along with rate.
15. The un-successful Tenderers shall arrange to take their samples and E.M.D at
their own risk.
16. Specific Logo as per the direction of the Directorate of Sports and Youth
Services shall be printed on each hosiery item free of cost.
17. The Director, Sports and Youth Services, Orissa reserves the right to accept or
reject any or all the Tenders without assigning any reason thereof.

Non-Transferable Tender documents for supply of each item stated above

will be available on payment of Tender Documents Cost of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees
one thousand) only from the Directorate of Sports & YS, Orissa, Nayapalli,
Bhubaneswar-751012 on Orissa Government official working days between 11.00
A.M. to 4.00 P.M. either by person or by post on request. The tender document
cost (non-refundable) is payable in shape of crossed Demand Draft of any
Nationalized Bank having branch at Bhubaneswar drawn in favour of Asst.
Director, planning, Directorate of Sports & Youth Services, Orissa, Bhubaneswar.

Tenderers intended to receive tender documents by registered post should

pay additional amount of Rs. 100/-. However, this office will not be responsible
for postal delays in delivery of these documents. Tender documents down-
loaded from web-site www.orissagov.nic.in and
www.orissa.gov.in/sports&youthservices/dsys/index.htm can also be used
provided it is accompanied with a crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 1,000/- towards
cost of Tender documents.

The sealed tenders will be received till 3.00 P.M. of 21-12-2009 in office of
the Director, Sports & YS, Orissa, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar-751012 & will be
opened at 4.00 P.M. on the same day in presence of tenderers or their authorized
