Thalassaemia Patients Welfare Citizen Community Board Nawabshah is an
organization of non elected citizens and proactive members of civil society, having been
registered under indh !ocal "overnment #rdinance $%%& by the Community 'evelopment
'epartment 'istrict "overnment Nawabshah(
While visiting various localities, villages and areas of the district, it was brought
into the notice of )ohtarma *aryal Talpur +ila Nazim Nawabshah, that a great number of
children are suffering from Thalassaemia in the district and there is no proper facility in the
entire district for their blood transfusions and treatment( The patients were compelled to go to
,arachi for the treatment and transfusion, which was unaffordable for the poor families( )any
applications were being submitted to the +ila Nazim for the financial assistance by the patients
and their family - parents(

with the ocial /ctivist, 'octors and Wor.ers of Nawabshah( / team was formed to personally
visit the transfusion centers wor.ing at Badin and ,arachi for Thalassaemia patients( The team
of 0ussani Blood Ban. ,arachi promised to provide technical support for establishing such type
of service at Nawabshah(
Ta.ing in view the e1ample of Thalassaemia Patient Welfare ociety Nawabshah,
a CCB was formed, to establish a Thalassaemia Patients Treatment Center in Nawabshah(

attended by a gala1y of Philanthropists, luminaries and prominent personalities of the district,
province and country( The pro8ect proposal was prepared on CCB9 *orm9: amounting to 3s4
;,%%%,%%%-5 and was duly submitted to <'# Community 'evelopment Nawabshah for further
process to materialize the cherished noble dream of providing free of cost service delivery -
facility at the local level to the Thalassaemia Patients of Nawabshah and ad8acent districts(

through public donations and personal financial support of )ohtarma *aryal Talpur, )rs(
)unawar Bughio and many others( We have 3egistered &%:% Patients of Thalassaemia )a8or in
our Center and are providing *ree Treatment, Blood Transfusion, Chelating >ron Treatment, *ree
!unch to the Patients and their Parents( We have also engaged re?uired Technical and Non9
Technical Personnel to run the Centre efficiently(
0aving no regular financial support@ we are facing a lot of troubles and
difficulties to provide services to the suffering children(
