NEGOTIATION AND AGREEMENT RULES SEC

137(O) OF THE CRIMINAL PROCEDURE CODE
The Offce of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is established under Article 157 of the
Constitution. It is mandated to provide timely and effective prosecutorial service to the public. The
Offce has developed and fnalized the draft rules and guidelines on plea negotiations pursuant to
section 137(O) of the Criminal Procedure Code which mandates the Director of Public Prosecutions
to make rules relating to plea negotiations and agreements.
The ODPP therefore invites comments, suggestions and recommendations on the proposed plea
negotiation and agreement rules. The same can be viewed and downloaded from our website
www.odpp.go.ke. In addition, a request for soft copies, additional inquires and comments may be
made via email to odpplawreform@gmail.com
