: Our pending request vide our letter dated on 26.07.13, 19.08.13
21.10.2013 and 20.11.2013 asking refund of excessive amount paid
by us as monthly electricity charges for the months of June, July ,
August and October 2013.

Subject : Submission of Excise Return for the months of indicating volume of
production during respective months.

Dear Sir,
This has reference to our previous letters requesting refund of excessive electricity charges
paid by us under protest for the months of June, July, August, and October2013. We would like to
reiterate that M/s Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited, amongst others, has one of its
manufacturing Plants situated at Raninagar, Industrial Growth Centre, PO Patkata, PS Jalpaiguri, Dist.
Jalpaiguri-735153 (Unit) which is inter alia engaged in the business of manufacturing and selling of
sweetened carbonated water, carbonated water, packaged drinking water and fruit based drinks. Our
aforesaid Unit has been provided the electricity connection of 33 KV by your good office under the
Consumer no. C42158, Consumer Id 934215800 & Installation No. 2032889. On getting electricity
invoices from your good office for the months of June, July, August, October 2013, it had been observed
that the invoices were raised with unjustified, unreasonable & excessive charges which had no basis
and appeared to have been raised erroneously. We, in the interest of Justice had made the payment of
demanded electricity charges under protest and subsequently requested your good office vide our
letters including dated 21.10.13 to refund the excessive amount paid by us on account of monthly
electricity charges for the months of June, July, August & October 2013 which is still under kind
consideration of your good office.







Referring our discussions & as suggested by you during our last visit to your good office on 20.11.2013
we are hereby submitting month wise excise returns for the months of January 2013 to October 2013
as a proof of production :

The above details clearly indicates that the manufacturing of beverages are highest during summer i.e.,
from the month of March to June, which contributes more than 60 % of the total annual manufacturing
of the Unit.
We are hereby enclosing the calculation of monthly electricity charges calculated on the basis of actual
production volume during the respective months:
