V1.2x + y Important notes.

Savegames from previous versions will NOT work in these new versions. Scores gai
ned in older
versions will also no longer be submittable. We are sorry for this inconvenience
, but the game was
too easy due to a savegame bug. These measures are the only way to keep the HOF
fair for everyone.
V1.2y has now got a self playing mode added. We would like everyone that can to
allow this self
playing version to run whenever possible. Overnight maybe, or while you are at w
ork. Especially if
you have seen the random crashes that seem new to v1.2x. Fixes for the random cr
ashes have been
made already but we don't know if they are a cure. Please allow the game to play
itself and if it
crashes send those reports in to us. The crash report sender has been fixed too,
but just in case
it fails please send an email to bugs@warblade.as including the warblade.dbg fil
e as either text
or an attachment. You must do this before you start another game. (Starting anot
her game will
overwrite the dbg file)
Also, please take the time to send in crash reports from normal gameplay too, or
report problems
in the forum.
The selfplay mode is started by pressing SHIFT ALT and F1 together and it will r
andomly play time
trial and normal games. Profiles will be automatically closed and scores gained
by the computer
will not be saved. Its not possible to save in selfplay mode either and the coll
ision detection is
almost completely turned off so its very difficult for the player ship to be kil
led. The player
ship will go for almost all bonus drops and diamonds without choice but it does
start with 10,000
cash and does always seem to have a pretty good weapon. Try it out anyway, its f
un to watch the
shop, memory stations and speedy gameplay.

PLEASE read the manual for info on the new SaveGame function.
Also, PLEASE report any and all bugs you find old and new. Even those that have
been regularly
reported in the past. Many things have been fixed to our knowledge, but theres a
lways the
possibility that its not fixed for everyone, or that a fix in one place has caus
ed a fault
elsewhere. Again, use the forum or email us. We are always prepared to help. Tha

V1.2e Important notes.
Firstly there are some possible issues with older profiles and newer settings.
The buffer setting
and vsync options may need adjusting. If your video card is good enough (and can
do it) triple
buffer mode with vsync ON is a good option. If your card cannot do triple buffer
ing, then choose
double buffer mode but turn vsync OFF. In both cases VSync will be adjusted for
you, but can be
changed manually afterwards. Without VSync in triple buffer mode you WILL get gr
aphics tearing.
An issue that hitm4n currently has is the tiny gems (from a gem bomb) get corrup
ted when the first
one is picked up. If you see this error please report it in the forum or email m
e directly at
bugs@warblade.as (this error resolved. it was due to beta nvidia drivers.)
Windowed mode is still a bit "nasty" and could produce errors in some areas of t
he game. You'll
mostly see errors with speed and hopefully there are no crashes for you. If you
constantly used
windowed mode before, then you should be ok with it now as nothing much has chan
ged. But please do
consider this a warning that anything could happen at any time.
The new "News Ticker" function allows the game to connect to a server to retriev
e the very latest
development news. This could be some bugfix news, news about a new release or ne
ws about a new
gameplay issue. It can be turned off, but i hope you'll find it to be an interes
ting and useful
new feature. ONLY news is sent to the game and no other data is sent or retrieve
d.
