INT. WEAPON STORAGE SHED-DAY

We pan across the caches of weapons. All sorts of weapons
are around the shed. In the break room we see three men. One
who in his 60s has a wrinkled, dirty face. His grey beard
that drops down to his chest. Another man, in his 50s with a
smooth bald head, the light reflecting off of it. His glasses
with small circle lens inside his pocket. The final man in
his 30s. Who looks tired and older that his age.
MAN WITH THICK BEARD
So, whats been going on?
The bald man sets down his sandwich and turns to the bearded
man. The man reflecting off his glasses.
MAN WITH GLASSES
Well Bill, not much. Haven't seen a
zombie in days.
BILL turns to his food and takes a bite out of it. Crumbs
fall into his beard and get stuck inside. Bill inches his
beard as the crumbs decline out. He turns back at the glasses
man.
BILL KNIEVER
Its strange. A month ago we would
be killing them. Now we dont even
see them anymore.
The bald man turns over to the tired man. He notices the way
the man is acting.
BALD MAN
Huh, never realized how tired you
looked. Whats going on?
TIRED MAN
I Recently had a baby boy. It is
very tiring having to take care of
him.
BILL KNIEVER
Well the way you look explains it
all.(Chuckles)
TIRED MAN
(Chuckles) Well I guess thats
true.
BALD MAN
Well, good luck with the baby.
TIRED MAN
I hope so, huh maybe you can help.
BALD MAN
Wait, Im not going to look after
your baby.
TIRED MAN
Well somebody has to, in a couple
of weeks my wife has to go back to
making food for the city.
BILL KNIEVER
So Phil I guess youre going to
watch over him.
PHIL GHILE
Come on Rick, I havent done
anything related to babies in
years.
RICK STALLMON
Yeah but I can trust you. Youve
had a kid right?
PHIL GHILE
Yeah, but that was almost twenty
years ago.
RICK STALLMON
Come on Phil, youre the only
person who can. Bill cant do it,
he has to teach people how to kill
the zombies. We need more people
who can shoot. But you, you dont
have anything planned.
PHIL GHILE
Yeah, okay I'll do it.
RICK STALLMON
Hey thanks man. We should get back
to the weapons.
BILL KNIEVER
Come on, we can spend a couple of
minutes chatting.
PHIL GHILE
Yeah, why not?
2.
RICK STALLMON
Sure, if you want to.
The three of them get up off of their chairs and throw away
the remaining food.
They all walk back to the table and sit down.
BILL KNIEVER
Well now, back to the zombies. What
do you think is going on with them.
PHIL GHILE
Hell if I know, I just wish we
killed them all already.
RICK STALLMON
Yeah, I wish.

to communicate with them.

we destroy the remaining weapons.
One of the zombies in the group walks up to the scar zombie.

Apollo signals the zombies to specific caches with his hands.
The door with the three men inside opens up.
Bill is standing in the doorway with his pistol out, looking
around frightened.
He notices the zombies.
Apollo signals a Bulky, tall and wide zombie with his head.
The zombie darts over to bill and knocks him through the
doorway.
Bill flys into a wall, followed by the huge zombie. The
zombie picks up bill and smashes him into the round table.
In the corner of the room Phil and Rick are getting their
revolvers ready.
The table breaks apart, sending it all over the room.
Bullets WHIZZ pass The zombie as he charges into the two of
them.
Apollo picks up a LMG and examines it. The entire shed shakes
and he turns to the left.
The bulky zombie walks through the doorway with blood on his
body.
A couple of bullets are inside of his chest. Blood is
dripping out.
Apollo begans to look concerned and starts signing.
APOLLO
(SIGNING)
Are you okay Frith?
FRITH
(SIGNING)
For what just happened in there, I
fine.
Apollo nods his head then directs the other zombies to take a
couple caches.
The zombies start dragging them out of the shed.
FRITH (CONTD)
(SIGNING)
Should I bring in the explosives?
4.
APOLLO
(SIGNING)
Yes.
Apollo walks out of the shed.

INT. RICK STALLMONS APARTMENT-NOON
A man wearing a brown worn out jacket and blue pants is on a
old chair. He is in his 30s but looks 50. Just by his face
you cam see his experience. Theres scars and wounds all
around it. A middle age women with a baby oh her shoulder
walks into the room.
JACKET MAN
Thanks for letting me in brooke
BROOKE STALLMON
No problem James.
BROOKE STALLMON (CONTD)
So why are you here, is it about
Rick?
JAMES RALFE
Unfortunately Yes.
BROOKE STALLMON
Unfortunately?
5.
JAMES RALFE
He died earlier today.
Brooke leans against the wall and slowly slides down to the
carpet. Her face shocked, for a while. She sits there for a
moment then begins to speak.
BROOKE STALLMON
Oh my...... Oh my.
She covers her open mouth with her hand, Then begins crying.
James is silently watching her. He begans to comfort her.
JAMES RALFE
Rick was a personal friend. When I
heard this news I didnt believe
it. I knew that it must of happened
but I told myself that it didnt. I
went over to where he died. Once I
got there, I broke down. I started
crying. Realizing what has
happened. It took a while before I
stopped. Afterwords I remembered
you. I decided to tell you myself.
While I traveled over here I
remembered something. He told me
when he was gone just carry on.
Dont mourn, just know that Im
looking down on you smiling. I
didnt feel no thing, so dont feel
no pain, just smile back.
BROOKE STALLMON
(Sniffling) Thanks James, That
helps a lot.
JAMES RALFE
Your welcome, I have to arrange his
funeral. Later today Ill contact
you about the information.
BROOKE STALLMON
Okay, bye. (Sniffles)
James gets up and walks to the apartment door. He opens it up
and leaves.

INT. RUINED SKYSCRAPER-NOON
The inside of the skyscraper is trashed. Holes in walls and
moss on the ceiling. Two people are lying on the floor,
supplies around them.
One is a man, the other is a girl. The girl wakes up and
stands up. She is in her 20s, has dirty, cut clothes and dirt
on her face. She looks younger then she is.
GIRL
Dad, lets get going.
The man wakes up and slowly sits up. He has a stern look and
looks about 50. He inches his head and talks.
MAN
Yeah lets go.
REBECCA
So when will we reach the city?
MAN
In a couple of days.
The father starts picking up his supplies. He grabs a photo
and looks at it. The photo had a women and man in it.
The photo has words written on it. It says, love you JERRY.
Jerry sets the photo in his back pocket and continues to
collect his supplies.
REBECCA
Well thats good, right?
JERRY
I dont even know anymore. Its the
only safe place left. But we
haven't seen any zombies in a long
time. The times weve seen them
they were traveling in groups.
REBECCA
So do you think theyre planning to
attack the city?
JERRY
What else would they be doing,
thats the only place with people
in groups. But something is
changing about them. A couple of
times I've seen them with guns,
shooting.
7.
REBECCA
Really?
JERRY
Yeah.
REBECCA
We shouldnt go to there then? We
should just wait till the
fightings over.
JERRY
We cant, were running low on
food. Everywhere around us has been
scavenged. There community has
enough food to last for four more
years.
REBECCA
Well then, we stuck ourselves into
a corner.
JERRY
Yeah, we have.
Jerry finishes packing his supplies. Rebecca grabs her pistol
and slots it in her Hollister. A muffled, disturbing noise is
heard. Jerry begins to look concerned.
REBECCA
(Whispering)
Is that what I think it is?
JERRY
(whispering)
Im Afraid so.
Jerry pulls out a hunting knife.
The two of them slowly walk through the building as the
muffled noise gets louder.
They stop at a door. The door is the source of where the
noise is coming from.
The door burst opens as a skinny zombie comes running.
The zombie tackles Jerry to the ground, attacking him. Jerry
struggles to stab the zombies.
Rebecca pierces the zombies neck with a broken bottle. It
rolled off of Jerry and tired to pull the glass out. The
zombie gave up and died.
8.
REBECCA
Isnt that a strangler zombie?
JERRY
Yeah, havent seen those in days.
REBECCA
Huh weird.
Jerry gets up and walks over to the stairs with Rebecca.
The both proceed to go down the stairs.

INT. THE CITY EDGE-SAME TIME
Three people are scouting the citys edge. Two girls one in
brown clothes. Her clothes are not brown, its just covered
in dirt. The other in a grey sports shirt. Plus one guy who
looks younger then 18 but is actually 27. He barley has
facial hair and has a short clean haircut.
GUY
So, how long is the shift?
GIRL IN GREY SHIRT
a couple hours I think, unless we
find something.
GUY
So if we see zombies were
probably going to die.
GIRL IN GREY SHIRT
Unless your good with a gun, Paul
PAUL looks at his gun then back at the girl in grey.
PAUL CARVER
Hopefully I still am.
GIRL IN A DIRTY BROWN SHIRT
So Melissa how good are you?
MELISSA ENOS
Good enough to still be alive.
PAUL CARVER
Come on, dont be cocky.
9.
MELISSA ENOS
Its true, anyway Lily wanted to
know.
PAUL CARVER
Yeah, yeah okay.
MELISSA starts walking down the road, the two follow.
PAUL CARVER (CONTD)
So what was you lives like before
the zombies?
MELISSA ENOS
Well before all this I had my own
farm. My dad taught me how to
shoot. He and my mother died a
couple years before the infection.
So I consider them lucky.
PAUL CARVER
Wow, that's a bit depressing.
MELISSA ENOS
Im happy, they had a peaceful
death.
LILY GARRISON
Well I actually worked for the
company that started all of this. I
still cant believe billions of
people died because of us.
PAUL CARVER
Seems like we all had a rough time.
At least the people that we care
most are at peace.
LILY GARRISON
So, did you hear about one of the
weapon sheds?
PAUL CARVER
Yeah, cant believe zombies did
that.
MELISSA ENOS
Seems like something one of the
groups I met along the road would
do.
10.
PAUL CARVER
So, what do you mean?
MELISSA ENOS
Well when I was on road there was a
group. They did whatever they could
to survive. Some people said when
they didnt have any food that they
ate themselves.
PAUL CARVER
So they basically became zombies.
MELISSA ENOS
Yeah.
LILY GARRISON
Lets just hope that nothing like
that will happen to us.
MELISSA ENOS
Seems like something worse is going
to happen. Now Paul you said you
couldnt believe zombies did that
right?
PAUL CARVER
Yeah, it seemed too strategic.
MELISSA ENOS
I think the zombies evolved because
of the disease.
LILY GARRISON
Thats what I thought. The drug we
wear testing on people was suppose
to help people against disease. It
should have made the brain learn
how to prevent them. Instead it
infected people, maybe the learning
affect was delayed?
MELISSA ENOS
Thats what most likely happened.
