EDITORIAL ASSISTANT
We are seeking a responsible, punctual and enthusiastic
individual to work in the editorial department of the
South Wales Argus from 8am to 2pm Monday to Friday.
Duties include sorting and distributing mail within a large
building, collecting, distributing and archiving editions
of local Newsquest publications, copytaking, ling,
inputting regular features and assisting newsroom staff,
providing support and holiday cover for other editorial
administration staff.

Choose the right colour for the right job
IN todays mostly conservative jobs
market, in which companies might
interview dozens of people for a
single position, first impressions
are more important than ever, says
Ross Porter, managing director
of Blackwood-based Clear Sky
Recruitment.
Interviewees must pay attention
to everything from what they wear
and how they are groomed to their
body language.
One important, and often over-
looked, aspect of an interviewees
first impression is the colour of
clothing. This sends a subcon-
scious message to the interviewer
about your personality. The right
colours can help convey your con-
fidence, professionalism and your
ability to fit into an organisations
environment. Below are a few tips
for choosing the right colours for
your interview attire. If you wear
a very brightly coloured suit or
dress, you will almost certainly be
remembered for your outfit (rather
than your job qualifications).
Neutral colours navy, grey, black,
and brown are the best colours
for a job interview. White is also
an excellent colour for a blouse or
button-down shirt.
You can certainly add a pop of
colour to a neutral interview outfit.
Pale colours are a great way to
add colour without appearing too
authoritative, and are great for
people-friendly jobs such as service
positions.
Do a bit of research on the com-
panys work environment before
your interview. You want to wear
colours which show you will fit in
with the companys culture. In an
office which tends to dress more
conservatively, you should definite-
ly stick to neutral, solid colours.
However, in more casual offices,
such as some start-ups and non-
profit organisations for example,
you can feel comfortable wearing a
bit more colour. Different colours
evoke particular human responses,
whether or not we are conscious
of them. Picking the right colours
can help you present yourself in
a particular way. Brown
is a neutral colour which
evokes feelings of calm.
It is a great solid, neutral
colour for any interview.
Blues convey feelings of
calm, trust, and confidence
great qualities for an interviewer
to sense in you. Grey evokes sophis-
tication and neutrality. It is a great
colour to wear as a suit or dress. It
allows you to look powerful, but is
not quite as domineering as a black
suit or dress. Black is a very popu-
lar colour for suits and dresses in
interviews. However, it is a very
commanding colour which conveys
power, authority, and drama.
This is a good colour for a job in
a conservative environment like
a law office, or for an interviewee
applying for a high-level executive
position. However, black can be a
bit overwhelming in a more laid-
back office environment, and can
make you appear unapproachable.
Using black as an accent colour (for
example, in a scarf or tie) can give
you a bit of that sense of authority
without being overwhelming.
Red is a bright, powerful colour
which conveys energy and passion.
A pop of red (for example, in a
scarf or tie) can convey just the
right amount of passion. Crisp
and clean, white is a great colour
for shirts and blouses. The colour
conveys truth and simplicity, and
adds a bit of brightness without
being too overwhelming.
Of course, what really matters
in an interview are your skills and
experience, and how you answer
the interviewers questions. But in
a tough job market the right outfit
and colours can set you apart.

than making good ones.

Working towards an individual sales target you will be expected to be

The Person
As a Telesales Executive you will need to be self motivated and driven
towards achieving revenue targets. Condence in working under your own
initiative is essential, although there will be occasions that you are required
to work on team projects.
Time management is key to this role, along with being able to adhere to
rigid deadlines. Previous sales and/or customer service experience could be
advantageous, although this is not an essential requirement as a comprehensive
training programme is in place. A good telephone manner coupled with
ability to communicate clearly and concisely is fundamental to this role.

We are currently seeking a full time Field Sales representative
The Role
Working towards an individual sales target you will be expected to be
resourceful and self motivated. Sourcing and canvassing new clients to
introduce to our portfolio and in-turn being proactive and creative in nding
solutions to their advertising and marketing needs. This will run in sync with
the ongoing management of existing, established clients, ensuring they are
receiving the best possible value from our product portfolio.
The Person
As a Field Sales Representative you will need to be self motivated and driven
towards achieving revenue targets. Condence in working under your own
initiative is essential, although there will be occasions that you are required
to work on team projects.
Time management is key to this role, along with being able to adhere to
rigid deadlines. Previous sales and/or customer service experience could be
advantageous, although this is not an essential requirement as a comprehensive
training programme is in place.
The Package
In return the successful candidate can expect to receive:
A Basic Salary 15,500k plus an additional uncapped bonus potential
