City Council met in regular session at 5:00 p.m.

on July 8, 2014 at the Council Rooms Sac City Municipal

Building with the following members present: Bill Brenny, Bruce Perry, Gary Hansen, Tom McGinty,
with Barb Bloes, Mayor presiding.

It was moved by Gary Hansen and seconded by Tom McGinty to suspend the Roberts Rule of Order
voting procedure. Roll call was taken and vote was as follows:
Ayes: Tom McGinty, Bill Brenny, Bruce Perry, Gary Hansen.
Nays: None.
Absent: Teresa Bruening.

There were no conflicts of interest noted.

A motion was made by Tom McGinty and seconded by Bill Brenny to approve the following consent of
agenda items:

Approval of agenda as amended. (Removed any action on the Faade Project.)

Approval of the minutes of the June 24, 2014 council meeting.

The Mayor announced that this was the time and place set for the public hearing on the possible vacation
and sale of a tract of land located at N 88.98 of E 22 of W 44, Lot 2, Block 18, Original City of Sac City,
Iowa. There were no written comments received. The Mayor called for oral comments. There were no
oral comments received. It was therefore moved by Teresa Bruening and seconded by Gary Hansen to
close the public hearing. Roll call was taken and vote was as follows:
Ayes: Bruce Perry, Gary Hansen, Tom McGinty, Bill Brenny, Teresa Bruening.
Nays: None.

Bill Brenny introduced ordinance 2014-259 entitled: An Ordinance Authorizing the Vacation and Sale of
a Tract of Land Located at N 88.98 of E 22 of W 44, Lot 2, Block 18, Original City of Sac City, Iowa.
It was moved by Gary Hansen and seconded by Teresa Bruening to approve the first reading of said
ordinance. Roll call was taken and vote was as follows:
Ayes: Tom McGinty, Bill Brenny, Teresa Bruening, Bruce Perry, Gary Hansen.
Nays: None.

After a brief discussion on the sidewalk ordinance the council agreed to review the ordinance in place,
specifically looking at the enforcability and reasonability.

The council was given the update for the Iowa League of Cities on the State Legislative session.

There were no comments received concerning solid waste matters.

The council forum was held.

It was moved by Teresa Bruening and seconded by Bruce Perry to adjourn.
